I disagree, I always have had great service from the dealers and cocktailers, but I've really only ever played craps there, which is right next to the bar the waitresses get their drinks from, so service is prompt.June 12-15 2014 Aria

I played blackjack there for an hour before our group decided to head to a less pretentious environment. Granted I went on a Saturday afternoon (after devouring a burger at Holsteins), but after sitting at a $25 min table for 30 minutes and dropping hints that I'd like a drink if the waitress came around I had to walk up to the Chandelier to get a beverage. After I came back and lost 5 or 6 hands in a row I decided to cut my losses and head back to friendlier waters. I expected the atmosphere to be like Planet Hollywood on steroids, but came away feeling like the casino was a bit stuffy.

I actually had a great time once playing craps at Cosmopolitan (awesome dealers and ridiculously-fast cocktail service, literally had a waitress standing at the table waiting to go take care of drink orders), but that was only for about an hour before it died out; other than that, the place always seemed dead. I'm not a big fan of playing at tables by myself. And zero comps/offers/anything from them after a couple pretty solid sessions.

I think they are getting better at offering comps. I only gambled there one night and I am getting a coupled of comped nights this week and I have an offer for two free nights from Dec 10-27. And they put you in a one bedroom terrace, which isn't bad. So I think gambling there could not hurt.

lol...got the same offer in the mail...signed up for a players card two years ago, gambled one night for a couple hours ($300 or so probably) and haven't gambled there since. Heck, even if you aren't a cardholder with them (but are with another group) it probably wouldn't hurt to call and ask for the same deal...Originally posted by vigilanteez View PostI think they are getting better at offering comps. Just got back from my first stay at cosmo. Arrived on a Thursday at noon and the casino was dead. Plesantly surprised though to find quite a few $10 BJ tables which i played while waiting for my room (they had a mix of 3:2 and 6:5, shoe and CSM games). Dealer was pretty cool, drink service was good.
Fridays and Saturdays though it was a completely different story, tables were packed, waitress was coming by every 5 minutes it seemed, and the dealers i had on friday night was awesome. Even the other players were cool and werent making any bonehead moves.
Didnt like their selection of slots and vp machines though...definitely didnt see anyone winning any money at slots.
The casino there just feels weird...probably because of the low ceilings and because its long and narrow. apparently its 100K square feet, and aria is 150K sq ft....but aria feels like its 3 times bigger. even wynn, which is 110K sq ft, feels a ton larger than cosmo. Dont know what they can do about it though. Besides buying out the Jockey Club, tearing that down and expanding horizontally, theyre stuck with that footprint.
oh yeah, the sportsbook at cosmo is tiny....i mean REALLY tiny. im sure there are some suites in cosmo that are bigger than the sportsbook.

Do you think these offers are going to die come summer time?

Yeah...they don't need to giveaway rooms in the summer...they probably just have too much inventory during December so they're sending offers to everyone in their database.Originally posted by vigilanteez View PostAnd I thought I was special lol.
