  • FBI shuts down Full Tilt, PokerStars, Absolute Poker

Not strictly Vegas related, but it is gambling related. Anyone been hit by this? They've frozen all the accounts, so if you had money in there I think you're fucked. I know a couple of people who are going to be out a lot of money because of this.

This really sucks for US affiliates. It seems tilt is using www.fulltilpoker.co.uk as the main site and stars is using www.pokerstars.eu but the cashier is not available for usa players, i wonder if the visitors are being recorded...

I had evacuated my FullTilt account a couple months ago. Some of my friends weren't so lucky. Who knows how long it'll take to get their cash back -- if at all. They all had some hefty sums in there too.

You should be getting it back - I know the FBI released Full Tilt over the weekend to return funds back to their customers. Doesn't mean you can go online and play but shit, atleast you'll get your cash back.

I'd presume once they do this with one site it shouldn't be long for the others to follow.

Yea it may end up causing one of my best friends to end up moving from the U.S. (to Canada, Mexico, etc ??) so he can resume his full-time job as an online professional poker player! He has been playing professionally for a year and a half or two and had been making real good consistent income from it. These recent events have basically put him out of a job unless he decides to move out of the country.

I told him to try tables in Vegas or Atlantic City, but he prefers higher variance at 18-24 tables (whereas in a casino, you can only play 1 table at a time...).

If he does go, I'll be sure to visit him!

Well it looks like players can cash out at least now.

My dumbass can't cashout. I can't believe I forgot my username and password (I can't even remember what email address [Have to many email addresses] I used to sign up, to allow me to change it). It's only like a little under $70 but I'm still pissed at myself.

Online poker was how I got my beer money while in college! I really hope the US does decide to regulate it in the near future so we can play again.

Unfortunately its only Pokerstars that will let you cash out right now. My roll was on Full Tilt...They haven't moved near as fast as Stars has at trying to get our money to us.
