  • how is the flamingo pool for someone mid 20's?

I just read that the flamingo pool is now 18+.

im not expecting it to be like rehab, but can it someone what considered a party pool? 20,30 year olds?

I have never been to the pool at the Flamingo, but most people would rate it in their top 5. I wasn't as big of a fan of Mandalay as everyone raves, the sand was so hot, it wasn't much fun. I really liked the Pool at MGM Grand because of the lazy river, it was easy to socialize with different groups of people.

lazy river at the MGM is usually always a good time!! Different groups set up throughtout, always a cool fun place to meet people.
Vegas is everything that’s right with America. You can do whatever you want, 24 hours a day. They’ve effectively legalized everything there.

i think there is still a seperate pool that has a cover to get in, even for guests.

dont forget you have access to the other CET pools if youre staying there

I did a bachelor party there a few years ago and the guys loved it. They liked the multiple pools and the happy hour Fosters lager. I wasn't as big of a fan of it because there were A LOT of kids.

For a pool with more 20 somethings, I'd pick Monte Carlo, Mirage, T.I. or MGM.

That said, Flamingo is good for the number of pools.

I went there a few years ago too and there were a lot of kids. It's an older hotel and pool so it nothing like the new places. However, its vegas so you can have fun anywhere if you're with the right people and drink a lot.

Its a pretty fun pool(I stay at flamingo 90% of the time, but have stayed everywhere) there were some kids the last time down... but once the DJ started going and more 20-30ish crowd started going, they left with the parents.

They just moved the adults only Go pool to the bigger pool this year and put the all access pool where the Go pool was last year. Has anyone been to the adults only Go Pool this year? If so do they have a DJ, what days are good?

I haven't been to the flamingo pool for a couple of years but it always used to be pretty casual. Lots of space in the pool and a range of ages. There always is a few good groups of girls in their 20's. Its definitely not a destination pool to hit just hotel guests. The upside is that there aren't a bunch of juiced out guys to compete with and they used to set up a volleyball net at one end of the pool which was pretty fun not sure if they still do or not.

it's a nice complex, even at it's age. the crowd varies wildly given the size of the hotel, but there are more people in their 30's-40's than there are anything else. probably as many in their 50's as there are in their 20's.

for the last few years in the summer the GoPool has house music and EDM, so it is a much better time than their usual mix of 80's music provides.

I went last year with 3 buddies, (we stayed at the Flamingo over the 4th of July) and had a blast.

We arrived on a Thurs (went to the general pool that day, as a guest you got in free) was a good mix of people and we had fun.

On Friday rented a daybed/lounge area (I think there were 2 or 3 couches right by the DJ booth) with bottle service at the adult GO pool, had a helluva time, lots of groups of people and the drunker everyone got the more fun it was. Id definitely do it again.

                        At the time we were ages 28, 28, 29 & 30.

if you like flamingo don't let the kids or graybeards send you away. it's a college crowd, a jimmy buffet party crowd, some families, old leathery smokers.

the Go Pool is usually kid free, but then i haven't been out this summer.

Still a top 10 pool, but it's truly a mixed bag of people, with what seems like a lot of 80's dance music.

We stayed at the Flamingo last year and the year before, and I really enjoyed it. Good service (though they've gotten pickier and no longer let you bring down your own cups, or a filled Flamingo cup-), and fun times. The main pool has little alcoves for relaxing and it's always busy.

I hadn't heard that they changed it to 18+, that's definitely going to change the dynamic of the pool as there are usually a lot of kids. If you do go (and don't get a cabana), make sure to go early as the chairs usually are all gone by 10am.
