I was reading through the threads and amazed at the money people spend on bottle service at nightclubs. Is there no recession on this board or is it that the low baller like me don't ask as many questions?
No Recession on this board?

It's not that there's no recession, it's just the way to go if you have a group of guys.
If you just go into the club and don't have a table, you're looking at $30 or more for cover. Then you're looking at $15-18 per drink after tip. If you're just an average guy and you have 4-5 drinks at a club, you just spent $100.
Why not get 3-4 guys together and buy a bottle? When you do that, you're looking at $150-200 per man and you have a place to sit and relax. All of these Vegas clubs get packed pretty easily, so it's nice to have a "home base" with a table.Vegas Trips to-date:

Plus, a lot of us save for these trips for months ahead of time. Give up your $4/day Starbuck's habit, and that's almost $100/month you can sock away. Take a sandwich for lunch instead of hitting up Subway, another $100.
Priorities, my friend.
Oh, P-tr-ck, I STILL need to borrow your German Leg Breaking Machine....Thx.

I am totally on board on Vad. Couldnt agree more. To be honest I jsut stopped going out last couple weeks and my trip is in 3 months. I never drink anyway from Sun-Thr and after I booked my trip its all aout saving. I will never put myself in a situation in Vegas where I have no money. F*ck that.
Just the last 2 weekends alone I had options and yes it was tempting but I look at the big pic. By not going out those 2 nights already i have saved a minimum 200 and really probly more like 300(if not more). I am a drunken sailor for the record.
Yes i get the texts that i of course missed best night in the world but i dont care. Nothing beats vegas. when my vegas trip rolls around those texters will be insanely jealous of me. Its all about sacrifice then splurging in vegas.Grizzled Vegas Vet:

I do sometimes get the itch come fri or sat but i just look at vegas stuff on youtube or come on here to get my mind right. Its actually kind of nice lately to wake up early on a sat/sun and feel good and get stuff done.
See, once u have been to Vegas, you know what the best is. Im sure like most u always spend way more than u think u will. The worst is when u wake up the next day and u are like wow i cant believe i spent that much. So when u know what Vegas is u are willing to save up. The worst is when u are out(and even here in Chicago on sat clubs are open til 5am) and u think damnit i wish i was in vegas now id be going to Drais, etc. I almost feel like im wasting my time going out unless im in Vegas.Last edited by Dean of Selection; 03-08-2011, 02:24 PM.Grizzled Vegas Vet:

Oh, there are some lowballers on here but in the small amount of time that I've been a member on this board I've learned how to get the most bang for my buck. There are some extravagant things that have been done on this board but you'll also learn where NOT to waste your money as well. There's no place like Vegas! Even preparing to go to Vegas becomes a ritual--you save money, start making schedules, get back in the gym, and even possibly modify your diet. If you don't want to pop bottles then that's fine but at least you might gain access to a guestlist or make a host connect and have an easier time with the lines.CAN'T WAIT!

echoing others, people save different ways.
During the trip itself, many members also pounce on hotel deals, sacrificing location for more money on the clubs.
Me personally during a Vegas trip, it's more about where I choose to spend the money. Many go to Vegas and enjoy expensive dinners and shows and blow a boatload of money at the tables. I don't do the expensive meals (unless my parents are paying lol) opting more for mcdonalds/food court, I cut back significantly on gambling (only play some hold'em here and there), and I never go to a show. That money many people spend elsewhere in vegas, I choose to spend most of it at the clubs.
