  • Free Fitness Centers

I know it sounds dumb, but I'm trying to get back on a fitness kick lately and I know that if I skip days in Vegas it'll end up with me skipping like two weeks.

Yeah, I might've put on a few pounds since I got back from Iraq. I blame it on pizza and beer.

Anyway, I know the Four Seasons has a free fitness center, but do all the rest of the hotels on the strip require payment or is their a gem out there that doesn't?

    Thanks

Wouldn't your hotel have somewhere for you to workout?

Go on your hotel website and see what kind of amenities they have, they usuall have some sort of fitness center that they let people staying there use for free.

Pretty much every strip hotel I've stayed at charges for the fitness center, usually like $20/day. Not that big of a deal, but Vegas is the only place I've ever been that does that. So if there's a hotel on the strip that doesn't charge, I'd rather patronize them.

Like I said, the only one I know for sure doesn't charge is the Four Seasons, but I'd never stay there with a group of guys partying because it's just not that type of joint.

I know Harrahs is $25 a day, which surprised me, but I just say f@ck it in Vegas. Its hard enough to drag my ass out bed for the next party, Im not getting up to work out.

I think all the major hotels do charge for their fitness center/spa/health club - however, I'm sure you can negotiate the rate down (maybe to nothing) at the front desk when checking in. They seem to be giving the passes away at the various reservation deals, anyway.

I hear that the Venetian's spa/health club is supposed to be amazing - anyone ever try it?

Dnix: Honestly, nothing helps me recover from a night out than sweating it out for 40 minutes on an elliptical or treadmill and then hopping in a sauna or steam room.

blibblab: I'll definitely have to try getting free passes, although we're staying in a comped room sooo

Hahaha, maybe the streets to the left or right of the strip. I can't imagine trying to run ON the strip.

you have to incorporate you workout with partying

While at the pool swim laps, bicep curl beers, ask girls to take a pick with you and pick them up off there feet (good for your back and ego) start light and work your way up to the big mamas. Pushups an situps in your hotel room. Request a room as high as possible and take the stairs LOL
                    Appreciate Vegas

"Ideally"... I would love to have the energy and stomach strength to muster up a couple workouts while I'm on vacation as well. I'm staying at the Mirage in a couple weeks and I'm definitely going to try haggling the front desk. They're charging $25 per day to access the fitness facility which would be nice to avoid.

Why not just do burpees in your room? You know, the prison workout.
The only winning move is not to play.

Ahhhhh, I'm sure I'll be doing that as well.. but it's always nice to have a gym for treadmill/weights.

Last time I stayed at the Wynn I purchased the fitness/spa package for 3 days and enjoyed myself thoroughly.

Ah, and this time last year I met Criss Angel at the Luxor gym... although it is not nearly as nice of a facility.
