  • Newbie needs direction!

I've been checking out this site for 2-3wks now and props to JC and all the rest of you who do a great job of making everyone feel welcome! Think i got a lot of things figured out but need a little imput from the experts. Here's the lowdown...

Flying in Sun morning (Mar 6), leaving Thur afternoon (Mar 10). Two couples, all in our early to mid 30's, average dudes with knockout wives. During the day-mature, professional, adults with kids. At night...drunk ass, fun loving people with a lack of inhibitions! Last weedend involved the four of us closing a strip club down at 4am and our ladies spent alot of the night up on stage! So we got no kids for four days and plan on making the best of it. My wife and I have been to vegas twice before but it was always work related, so it was fun but mostly gambling and drinking in the casino's. Our friends are Sin City newbies.

    Rough Itinerary:
Sun- get settled and head down to Fremont St for some basic gambling, drinking and people watching. We have never been down there, so its new to us and thought it would a good way for our friends to adjust to Vegas!

Mon- Girls can go get their shop on, while we hit the tables. Have heard a lot of good things about Carnaval Court, so we thought we'd head down there late afternoon and crawl out sometime early morning.

Tues-This is looking like the "mature" dress-up, wine and dine the girls "night". Followed by the hitting the club or clubs night. (this is where i need some advise)

Wed-open...If not dead, broke or in jail, we'll decide based on the previous nights. It might be striper night!

Thur-Put the stripers and tigers away and try to find the airport!

Everything is subject to change but Tuesday (club night) will require some pre-trip planning. So with the group mindset in mind, which club is the best shot for having an unforgettable night? We want to dance, drink and party with some crazy people. I dont think we'll do ts but we'll worry about that once we decide on a club. If a different club night provides a better choice of clubs we are open to mon or wed.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!! Hope to see some of you crazy bastards in vegas!!!!

For "Mature Nite" to wine and dine the girls I would recommend considering Auroele ... They have a great wine list... I would look into a table by the window in the Swan roon.... they have a little pool outside with 4 swans that will swim by while you eat... you can even go out and eat your dessert & take pictures with the swans... the ladies will love it..

There is also a coupon for this place available on Restraunt.com ... you should be able to get a 50$ gift certificate for like 4 bucks...

Would you do LAVO over pure? Seems like a lot of reviews had issues with the small dance floor. Your thoughts?

Me personally would do Lavo over Pure. Lavo might be smaller but i always had a better time there then at Pure.

Yeah on busy weekend nights it's a pain navigating LAVO but on a Tuesday it shouldn't be so bad. I would rather be in a packed LAVO than an empty Pure any day though.

Pure isn't what it used to be. Agree that Lavo on tuesdays is the place to be. If you can change your clubing plans around, I'd hit XS or Marquee on Monday and Surrender on Wednesday.

If you're looking to take the newbies to a nice vegas spot with nice views, you might want to consider sitting outside at mon ami gabi at the Paris...your table will be right across from the Bellagio fountains. It's a great place to bring new visitors. Not a super trendy spot, but always a nice way to start the night.

Thanks guys for the info. I think i'll give Donnie a holler at LAVO. It actually works out pretty good since we are staying at TI. Should be able to stumble our way home from there!!!

One last think, am i right in the fact that Carnaval court is still a fun place to hangout. Plus i understand its all outside, is that going to be an problem in early March

By the sounds of it you'll have enough booze to not feel the cold.......but they do have heaters....I'll be there this weekend and fully expect to stumble out of CC.

Also for one of your "low key" nights you may want to check out Aria.....couple nice lounges in their as well.

CC does a better job at what it does than any other place like it (if there is any place like it). But have no allusions, it is not a club or ultra lounge -- nothing at all like it. It is primarily a beer drinking place, mixed drinks in plastic cups, little if any wine.....it is smack dab in the middle of a tourist through way. lots of people, not at all dressed to impress, stopping in for a drink, 70's Band playing.....can really be viewed as quite cheesy if you are with someone who has a place like Light or Rain in their mind.......

Having said all that (which I am sure sounded negative), if you are looking for a place to hang for a few hours, knock back some over priced beers, be entertained by bartenders, be a little silly and not care about it -- there is a lot of fund to be had here. And you can actaully have a convo here without screaming at the top of your lungs in someone's ear. Personally, I have had a few great times here when my group was in the right mood for it....Just have to know what you are getting into ....Not a place filled with pretty people, but everyone always is smiling and having a good time......

I would not plan on spending a whole night there though....I've always had my fill of this place after 2 hours or so.....

As for the weather, march is hit and miss in the evening....Afternoon should be fine....

                      Good luck

Depending on the coin you wanna drop on dinner you should check out MIX at THEHotel at Mandalay Bay, it's on the top floor and you can sit out on the deck, offers some pretty incredible views of the strip. It's on the high end of meals, but it's worth a splurge if you request a table on the deck it's crazy romantic.

If you go with Mix you can go downstairs to Eye Candy for a Pre-Uber-Club warm up. No Cover and the DJ is always pretty good, nice way to hang out and dance without feeling like a sardine. As far as the uber-club goes though, it's tough, all depends on what kind of a mood you are in...the only club I don't usually go back to because it's so small is Moon, all the others really offer whatever you want depending on the night.

Good luck, I'm headed out in November and it's killing me that it's 10 months away.
