Five girls - Jan. 27-30 - any tips?

hey guys!

so there's 5 of us girls from Toronto that are going to be in Vegas for 3 nights next week! We're crazy excited b/c while some of us have been before, it's been a while... so any imput you guys have on our itinerary would be awesome

We're staying at the Mirage and we like clubs with a mix of music (house, top 40, hip hop). Right now, we're thinking

Thurs - Tao
Fri - Tryst, Surrender? (Saw Yolanda be cool will be here - will it be mainly house all night then? and hard to get in?)
Sat - XS

If we're not looking to get bottles, just guestlist, should we still contact hosts about getting on guestlists? Or will we be okay as a group of girls to get in?

oh, and this might be a stupid question, but are there coat checks there? We were thinking we could just walk to the clubs cuz they don't seem to be that far?

Any feedback/tips would be much appreciated - we're soooo excited! 9 more days!

I like both....Surrender is newer and bigger so I would go with Surrender.

Thur hit up one of the hosts here with a text to get you on the g-list for tao.

Groups of girls should have no problem getting in for free and no line at most vegas clubs.

Also, you can always go to Surrender first and pop into tryst after or vice versa....they are very close to each other.

Thur stick with TAO...can't go wrong.

On Saturday you may want to check out marquee...it is brand new and the "in club" right now...

i heard about marquee but was torn b/c we've heard so many good things about XS. and most of us are newbies and heard this is the place to go

do you guys have recommendations about gun ranges, btw? we wanted to hit one up for sure... was looking at the gun store vs. las vegas gun range

I agree with the other posts-Hit up MikeyT at surrender-it is a beautiful club and you will have a blast! Mikey is also a wealth of other information and very sweet to help out!

We were going to go to The Gun Store but never made it--just once to shoot a fully automatic would have been a kick in the pants!!! Be sure to post which one you decide on and how it went! Will try again my next trip!

YES!!!! Last year after the Nightclub & Bar Show I had to take some people out and 'entertain'. Well a few (few to many) drinks latter when it was time to drop everyone off, I guess this one lady and I were a little to 'friendly', or got that way while out.
ANYWAY, we get in the car from valet and all the sudden she, and everyone is going on and on about her and I getting married... at least for the night. As fun as that sounds, HELL NO... I ended up taking her to the range right off the strip and we fired some guns, most neither of us ever had even held before. the fully automattic was unreal (M16 - AK47 - UZI). To end, that excitement was enough for all of us, and I remained a good boy that night, and she a good girl. I know, sounds kinda backwards coming from a guy, but it WAS thrilling, and no after-feelings of guilt or negativity! LOL
I found the place from the ad's on the back of many taxis. Within 5 minutes of pulling out of the rent-a-car facility I saw it on 5 or more taxi's. Prices were good, and it was wild. you will never forget it no matter your thoughts and experience with guns. No class, but very strict & understandable instructions.

Seriously, you will not have a problem getting into a club.

5 ladies, that's about as sure a thing as you can get in terms of club access.


Now, it wouldn't hurt to contact the hosts in the FREE DIRECT CONTACTS SECTION.

Make sure to check the host appreciation thread for ideas.

FYI, those clubs are not far from the Mirage. Walking won't be an issue. Cross the street to the Venetian for Tao (easy) Walk past TI and over the bridge for the Wynn or go through the Venetian/ Palazzo. All those clubs are in close proximity.

Tryst is a great time BTW. If Yolanda Be Cool is playing, it will be packed though. They were playing that song in almost EVERY dang club I hit up last summer. I wonder if its still hot?



Might be better to hit up Surrender and Mikey is there, so thats a plus.



You will enjoy XS. Even though there are 5 of your ladies (and I am sure you will be all dolled up) XS gets freaking packed on Saturday. Plan ahead.


I strongly recommend getting in touch with the hosts. I have never guestlisted with the hosts at XS or Tryst (always bottle service since I am a guy) but shoot them (hosts) a text anyway.

If you have trouble guestlisting, I can honestly say that J Roc is clutch when it comes to guestlisting at the Palms. He hooked it up for us at Rain and Ghostbar. Great guy as well.

If you are looking for a good spot to shoot, try Discount Firearms (and don't let the name fool you)

The instructors there were VERY helpful.

We shot AK-47's and had a freaking blast.

Call ahead though for specific guns. One of my buddies wanted to shoot a Thompson and it was being fixed while when we went there.


Have a blast and be safe! (In case you were wondering, I was not refering to the firing range)

ahh thanks breeze! that's really helpful. yeah, i was hoping we'd be able to just walk over. will definitely look into that gun range too - it's something we def. want to do on the trip!
