Are all the clubs in Vegas techno/house music these days?

It's not surprising they are heading towards that way. Look at the rest of the world for example, go to Europe, south America most clubs there play EDM. Now in the US the music is changing and the mainstream top 40 songs are starting to sound electronic. Look at Britney spears new single WTF? Lol. All the artists are jumping on the bandwagon now. Anyway it's just a change in pop culture.

Crown is NOW Tier-1 IF YOU CAN HANDLE a TRUE hip-hop / R&B experience. Last Saturday night it was TOTAL chaos at the door with thousands of ppl showing up all at once. (see www.crown2011.com for pics etc, updated often) If you prefer a MAINSTREAM top 40 experience, Crown may not be for you!

All the clubs have hip hop/top 40 on certain nights. They'll mix in house later in the night, or when they are featuring a certain dj, but other than marquee, which features house in the main room every fri and saturday night, all the major clubs have hip hop and top 40 dance stuff playing for most of the night

I am a house/trance/electro junkie. That's why I love how most of the Tier 1 clubs in Vegas promotes EDM. Now I also love hip-hop too. Most Tier 1 clubs I been to especially on the weekends always had House/Hip-Hop/Top 40 mash up. Now some of them can have certain day of the week dedicated as a house night (like Surrender Wednesdays for example) or major house DJ playing at the venue that night so you have to watch out for that otherwise you will be listening to house all night.


If you don't want to hear house at all than you might want to hit up places already mentioned above like Eve or Crown.

what the heck does tier matter? although i agree that the trend in music is going more towards an electronic-y feel, i wouldn't say the "tier 1" clubs play more house or electronic than the other places. like bsweet said all these clubs play a top 40/house/hip hop/mashup mix unless there's a special dj set that night. geez

I went to Jet last Friday when DJ Clue had his birthday bash and he was the DJ. I recommend that you go there. It was a great time. It does not look as new as the other clubs but who cares if it's a tier 1 or how pretty it looks if they play techno music that you don't like for 3 hours straight. I went to Surrender, Jet and Tao and had the most fun at Jet.

Jet EVE and Crown arent.. but they have a more urban enviroment aswell.

That night they played hip hop and R&B but like I said it was DJ Clue's birthday bash so I can't comment on if that's a regular thing but the consensus on this board is that they play hip hop/R&B regularly.
