So my girlfriend had never been to Vegas before in her life, so I decided to do something special for her 21st birthday, and where else better to celebrate than good old Las Vegas? I actually was down the weekend before for New Years Eve with family, went home for 4 days, then returned for another weekend. Here’s what happened…
We got to the Vancouver airport a few hours early, and were surprised to find almost no lines through US customs or security, so we had about two hours to kill. It was 9:00AM and the bars were not open until 10:00, but we both wanted to kick off the trip right with a drink. The only place open that was selling alcohol was the duty free store, and so we decided that a morning mimosa was in order. A quick visit to the store and also to an Orange Julius and soon we had our drinks in hand, happy as can be.

During the flight we also had some drinks, time to get the party started! A few doubles never hurt anyone’s party so that made the 2 hour flight go by much faster.

) and just as I pulled into the lower parking lobby of our hotel James the owner of VLR was there to pick it up. It was great to have the drop off and pick up service, highly recommended for the extra $100 charge.
Unfortunately we got there a bit late and it shut down at 5:00PM, so we only got about two hours in at the show but still good enough to see most of it. We then left once it was closing time but again the taxi line was hours long so we grabbed another limo and made our way to the hotel to change for our next little adventure. The trip was pretty good. We both were a bit happy from the conventions bar and she decided to flash the world from the limo. Always a good sight when your looking at this:

), then headed downstairs and through the miracle mile and casino downstairs to the Spice Market Buffet, which was having for $21.99/person a all you can drink champagne and mimosas brunch, so who were we to say no? We ate there for a while, lots of choices, then headed up to the room to grab our bags and then checked out downstairs at the hotel lobby. A quick visit down to the bell desk to deposit our luggage and we were off via taxi to TI as she wanted to see the ships in front. We got there, checked it out, walked around, then got into a cab heading to Encore for a few drinks at the Southside bar.
