  • Whats the verdict on Marquee?

    Anyone been there yet?

I was there last Saturday, 1/1/11, and I gotta say it was one of my best nights out ever. Kaskade might have played a major part in it but overall the club is decent.

I didnt like the way you had to climb multiple level of stairs to get to different places but overall I had a blast. Gotta wait until the dayclub opens up to get the full Marquee experience

I was not terribly impressed with the main room, seems to have the flow issues that Tao has. It's really nothing special or groundbreaking, and not as big as I had expected. The whole club is very large, but very spread out and not all connected.

The library is awesome, but I don't see it really being a feature for the public to use unless you are a serious customer or spending some serious cash.

The pool is amazing, the cabanas with individual infinity pools, and the bungalows are beyond amazing (can't wait to see what the rates are on the 'rooms', but definitely looking forward to partying in them). Curious to see how they distribute the chairs and daybeds, gaming area seems to take up alot of space where they could have placed chaise lounges or daybeds.

The hip-hop room is cool I guess.

I really like the club, and it will definitely do well with the talent they are booking, and the individuals involved, but you probably won't see me there much until summer (and then I will be dj'ing at pools myself, but will try to make it over some).

Thanks for the info. My next trip is in May and I'm planning to spend one of my days at Marquee's pool if it's as nice as it's expected to be

Yeah, the Bungalows there are legit hotel rooms, three stories with a hot tub on top. They are accessed by a key card just like a normal room, there's a gate into the Marquee pool area, and can be accessed from the hotel side like a normal room.

I've been asking around, and nobody seems to know the rate, average rate, availability or anything. I bet they will be VERY expensive.

For all the talk about how HUGE the club was going to be, it seems VERY small.

I though the main club room was cool. The outside was very cool. Decor was nice. What I didn't like was, I don't like House Music, Hated waiting 2 HOURS being on a guest list, walking to the other music rooms using stairs, the basement room should have played more top 40 music.

I still think XS is the best.

That is why you need to do research on the club, music, crowd, etc. before going to it.

Anyone know what the re-entry policy at Marquee is like? Considering people on guestlist had to wait 2 hours, my friends and I are thinking of showing up early (at like 9:30) to get in and get stamped, and then leaving to grab some food /take some shots before heading back to the club at 12ish. Any idea of that's doable?

Verdict was legit BUT im being bias because it was Kaskade night :P

I agree with Pearce regarding the flow but I never have that problem because everyone thinks im security :P

Agreed on the outside...man I can't wait to see that place during the summer. Looked amazing!

After seeing the club absolutely crazy now a few nights, I really fear they are going to have recurring problems with wait times, flow inside the club and overcrowding.

It will be better once they can open the outside at night as well (little too cold now).

Still waiting on information on the Bungalow/Rooms at the pool area,

This should sum it all up in a nutshell:
