  • Paris Buffet

Just skip it... Crappy food... and I saw the dude who carves the beef wiping the table, then wiping the beef with the same towel he wiped the table with. Kinda disgusted me.

I still haven't had a positive buffet experience. Where do I have to go to have one, the Bellagio, I hear?

+1. They don't make sense to me either. Like yes it's the best bang for the buck, but do you want come out feeling like crap after overeating and ruining your day? I'd rather pay more and eat less but I know I will enjoy my time during my stay. And plus you are in Vegas, you are there to drink, drink, drink, and did I mention drink?.....All you need is some in-n-out, panda express, etc.

Since Alot of buffets in Vegas are what , $40 pp? I prefer just ordering off a menu exactly what I want. Great way for variety but mixing 20 different dishes and condiments, sauces etc is a recipe for komode disaster. I guess it just takes a bad experience to feel this way huh? Lol

How many people get roast beef, fried chicken, shrimp cocktail, California rolls, chili, omelets, wok fried beef, creme brulete, chocolate brownies, soft serve ice cream, fried shrimp , crab legs, baked salmon, bread rolls, fruit, salad in one visit? Lol I have before , puke.

That doesn't make any sense. Just because it's a buffet, doesn't mean you have to over-eat. I just grab all the food I want and eat up til I've had enough. It's called self control, my good man.

I do have self control, but what I'm saying is if a person who never ate a Vegas buffet before, he/she would want to try a lot of the food therefore making you overeat. And also, another reason I'm not fond of buffets is like IRock said, mixing different types of foods is a disaster in the making.

whenever i go to vegas, i always go to these 2 buffets. Rio buffet $25 if im low on cash or i go to the Wynn buffet $45. both are really good and offer alot of variety whilst the Wynn has quality also.

Even though not a huge fan of buffets, the group I was travelling with wanted to try a couple. The Bellagio ($39 dinner) was an awesome one! Sushi was good (not great but I had a few pieces), the seafood was good, salads and vegetables were really good. The beef (Kobe and Prime rib) was just "ok". The desserts were exceptional-you could try little bits of everything although I had more than my share of chocolate dipped strawberries!
I feel sorry for people who don't drink, when they get up in the morning, that's best they're gonna feel all day!

I like buffets for the variety of food offered...so yes, I am that person who's eating everything from every station, with dessert in one hand and a crab leg in another, hahaha.

It's been years since I've been to the Paris buffet, but I remember really liking their quiches. The last buffet I went to was at Aria which was pretty good. I was there last summer and I hear they now offer whole maine lobsters, so that may be worth checking out!

The Bellagio buffet is really good (supposedly Aria is similar) but can get expensive if you go on the weekends, since their "Gourmet Dinner" is $36.95 (vs. $29.95 for dinner Sunday through Thursday). If you're willing to eat early enough, go right before the 4 pm change from lunch to dinner and you can pay the cheaper lunch price while getting all the Dinner food.

I went to the Cosmopolitan's buffet this past weekend and it was very good, although everything is portioned out and served on individual plates. It sort of creates a tasting menu rather than creating your own meals. It is sort of annoying, because the small plates are different sizes and don't fit perfectly with each other on your larger plate (trays wouldn't be as classy, but fit everything better). On the whole, Bellagio was probably better tasting, but Cosmo had a lot of really unique dishes and some were excellent, others kind of average/disappointing. Also, Cosmo doesn't have crab legs, but does have a lot of sushi and also a delicious gelato bar.

If you like buffets, it's definitely worth checking out, since some of the selections are different from a typical buffet. I left feeling very full and without trying some of the dishes I intended to. Dinner was $27 before tax. From what I gather online on the other meals, Breakfast (7-11 am) is $15, Lunch (11-3 pm) is $19 and Saturday and Sunday Brunch (7 am - 3 pm) is $23. Unfortunately, dinner starts at 5, so you don't get the overlap from lunch. I'd definitely try it again and when feeling the urge for a buffet, go between that and Bellagio depending on if I wanted something different, or the usual done well.

Also, check out the menus at the other restaurants at Cosmo (most are on the third floor and I think a lot of the menus are online too). They seemed to be reasonably well-priced for being "celebrity chef" restaurants, so you may actually get a great meal for a better price than a buffet and without the overly stuffed feeling.
