Mandalay Bay has a great buffet, so does MGM grand. The Flamingo is a good one too, a bit cheaper too at maybe $22/person for dinner.

My favorite buffets are Wynn and Planet Hollywood. I don't really go to the buffet for the sheer quantity of food I can eat, but I enjoy trying a little bit of each thing. Having a lot of variety is fun to me. Plus, it's a bit pricey, but I think everyone can find something they like, and everyone knows how much it's going to cost going into it.

Gonna try the "wicked spoon" at Cosmo when I'm in town next week.

I did the Wynn buffet right before I left on the Monday after Halloween, purely because I was a little short on time and didn't want to risk getting stuck in a restaurant for ages. It was pretty decent, given I'm not really much of a fan of buffets. The duck stuck out as being really good.

M resort and you get free beer, cider or wine. I can't remember how much it was but we all ate well and hammered the drinks.

Mate, I'm a Brit we drank enough to cover our cabs.

You are right though it is a trek.
