Read an article about a nightlife group taking over a Vegas hotel. First thought that came to mind was AMG taking over Hard Rock. Anyone heard anything regarding this?

Already got you added. Just by these unofficial pics, seems the outside will remain practically the same, besides a new paint job but a lot can change before it all becomes official. The pool looks nice, new pool party coming to the strip!!! What I am curious to see if there are any renderings of the rooms.Originally posted by Darryll View PostThe images i have were sent out via a black berry group, I have posted them on my FB profile. Will definitely be interesting to watch this one.
I would be interested to know the structure of how he came to takeover the property. Did he buy it outright or is it more of a partnership with Harrahs?
Its hard to put a sticker price on the place because it hasn't really ever been bought out right. Cost $11.5 Million to build, was sold to Boyd Gaming as a part of the Coast Casinos deal, then traded to Harrahs for the Westward Ho land. Currently, Imperial Palace runs it.
Back in 2004, it was rumored to be on the market for around $560Million as Flamingo was interested in expanding. If he got it for a firesale price and will be adding value to it with the renovations, could be a wise investment regardless if the nightlife plans work out as they are saying.
Could turn and burn it, make a couple hundred million in the process.
** I haven't found anything saying he is appying for a gaming license yet. That may be the thing to watch until formal announcements are made.We are happy to assist you with any questions you may have! Contact us at [email protected]

Victor has a non-compete agreement with Wynn in which he cannot poach staff for 2 years. Basically, everyone who was back and forth between Vegas and LA is either now with Victor or with Wynn/Waits. This project is a ways from fruition but, is very interesting. The rooftop will be highly reimmeniscent of Drai's Hollywood but, the sketches I saw looked like XS on a roof overlooking the Drai's Hollywood pool. Also, when I opened this thread I thought it was going to be about the Light Group taking over the Hard Rock.
