  • What do you do after check-out?

On your last day, after checking out of your hotel, what do you guys usually end up doing before your flight/drive back home?

I've heard people say they check their bags and relax at the hotel spa until their flight. I've also heard others say they take advantage of the hotel pool one last time before leaving.
I've only gone a handful of times, most of my last hours in vegas were spent leisurely at the buffet or at the tables.

Well for me since I m commuting, it all depends on traffic. On non-holiday weekend invasions, I tend to get out of town ASAP. I might stop and have a lunch, but sometimes not even that. On holiday weekends, I try to stall as much time as possible waiting for traffic to die down. The hotels are very generous about letting you use their pools on getaway days. So I would just spend my time there relaxing and getting some extra sleep.

Pay for part of my trip at the poker tables and then pig out at the wynn buffet.

I usually fly out late afternoon. So after checking my bag and maybe a quick trip to cashier cage to transfer funds (if I am down). Hit the tables (usually poker) one more time to win some money back if not I not ahead.

Then before going to cab stand/bell desk, one stab at roulette, just whatever leftover on my favorite #17 and always bet on black. Has not hit yet, one of these days it will.

I always pay for the room that night despite that fact I'm leaving and I catch the last flight out. That way I can hang at the pool all day and do some tourist stuff as well. I can shower and pack right before leaving which works out great.

Really? I dont have to pay for an extra night of room to use the pool I just ask them nicely when I check out

I'm sure that can be done but from my experince in the past, even with a late check out of 2:00 which I could get, I'm more comfortable knowing I can go back to my room at any time and lie down for a bit or get cleaned up. I get some pretty sweet rates thru my player's club so the extra $29 it cost to have the room for entire day is well worth it.

I have checked out and left my bags at the hotel until my departing flight in the past. I thought it would be easy to kill 6-7 hours just wondering around on the strip. After a while I regreted not having a place to crash out for an hour or two and freshen up before the 5 hour flight home.

I then start making plans for my next journey in.

Gotcha! A shower after the pool is a very good idea Oppose to stopping at a KFC and stealing all their wet napkins.

i always fly out first thing in the morning, so i head straight to the airport to be in the air no later than 9am.

It's also possible to ask for late check out.

I think I spent something like 30-40$ to check out at 6pm when I was at the Mirage. Wasn't the busy season thought...

late check out is great and all, but I'm more interested in what people do on their last day outside of their hotel room.

You know, I've noticed that on my last day, all I wanna do is leave lol. But normally, hanging by the pool, some last minute sight seeing (at least that's what I did on my first trip), and some quick gambling to pass the time. But Pool would normally be the first option.

same; my mind on the last day is preoccupied with the flight back... but as soon as I land and get back home and unpack, the first thought that usually crosses my mind is 'dang it, I wanna go back.....'

Absolutely. The minute I'm back home and lay down to rest, I'm already thinking of when would be a good time to go back. But depending on how hard I party, the last day is filled with a feeling of guilt and homesickness. lol

normally I'm out on the 11 am flight, which is perfect. Time to rest up after a late one at the centerbar - but not so you have hang around or check out early.
This time the bus was at 2.45pm and to be honest it was sucky wandering around with a huge hangover and not really feeling the need to drink more, just wanting bed
Will stick with the early departures, or book the room for one more night I think, so I can have a decent lie in.
Halloween AOD #4 trip - I survived!!! (I still can't quite believe it!)
