Is it alright to wear a nice polo shirt to the clubs or should I wear a button down shirt long sleeve shirt. I switched on and off last time I was down there and it worked out fine getting into the clubs and with the ladies. Not sure if the styles have changed at all in the past couple of years. Please let me know

Long sleeves button downs are the way to go. Stylish tshirts with Blazers works just as well. Polo shirts gets you kicked out of lines. -

I love how every member on this forum essentially says the same thing with regards to dress codes. If you went by what this forum/site said, tucked in button-down long sleeves, tucked-in shirts, and black leather shoes are a must.
Having said that, if you actually took a large sample size of men in the clubs/waiting in line, you will find that there are deviations from each of these "mandatory" clothing items happening every night. Honestly, it comes down to how you present yourself. For example, if you are looking stylish in a well fit polo shirt + dark, lighter fabric denim jeans and shoes that go with the ensemble, no one is going to have a problem.
If you don't believe me you might want to take a look at pictures of various people within the clubs recently. Although most of the pictures are of women, there are some where you can judge what guys are wearing and getting in with.
I will say this: if you have no style and no understanding of fit (most men + douchebags) then yes, you will probably HAVE to wear a button-down long sleeve dress shirt and leather shoes.Comment

t shirts and blazers will get you in fine BUT button ups work better.
I am at a vegas nightclub 5 out of 7 nights a week atleast and i have NEVER seen a non local get in with a polo on unless they have a table....
We are just here to give them advice and those guys that come more then others will tell you it is easier with button ups.

Last year on a Thursday at TAO I wore a black short sleve shirt, no collar, three buttons... So it was basically a plain black tee shirt with a few buttons that make it look more like a V-neck... The first guy at the door had to ask a second who got a third and finally they just let me in... I actually think the shirt broke their reality... The shirt was high end, wasn't a polo, didn't have a collar, no design, short sleve... It was pretty much just a muscle shirt with three buttons... But my jeans were on point I was wearing Ferragamos for shoes, and a Black Leather Roadster chronograph... Like my man Frank Abagnale alsays says... "Why do the Yankees always win? The other team can't stop looking at the pinstripes."

The reason there is the simple rule of collored long sleeve shirts working is because many are not very stylishly on point and need guidance. I'm not the poster boy for GQ but, Gucci, Ferragamo, Armani et al. all make short sleeve options that will work fine (not with gauche logos). If you are waering a $500+ shirt odds are your sitting down and if thats the case your host really isn't going to give you crap if your somewhat appropriate.Comment
