  • The Official "I Need/I Have An Extra Room For Mayvasion" Thread

I've seen a few people asking for rooms in the Nightlife section, but I feel this is a much easier way to find extra hotel rooms or sell your extra hotel room for the Mayvasion instead of weeding through all the NL posts.

Just a disclaimer to those who booked the Hard Rock! (reposted)I just tried to change the dates of my original stay for the May rooms, to shorten the stay by one day. The Hard Rock is playing hard ball and will not allow you to shorten the stay (or obviously increase the stay at the discounted rate) and is not giving any refunds.

So if you're not sure about May or are having any issues about coming out and you have booked the rooms - you should be aware they are being stingy about it.

I suggest putting your rooms up in this thread to sell your rooms to other members in need, that way you can at least get your deposit back from another member. It's as simple as adding someone else's name to your room and then getting your initial deposit Paypal'd from a forum member. Hope this helps someone!

This kind of sucks. Not that I'm cancelling or anything, but I called before I booked (and talked to "Norma") just to confirm the res was able to be cancelled if necessary. She told me it was 72hrs like normal.

Oh well, guess that's what you get for cancelling on AOD...
Oh, P-tr-ck, I STILL need to borrow your German Leg Breaking Machine....Thx.

Just so everyone is aware I just read the reservation form and it clearly states: "An early departure fee, which equals the room & tax rate on last night of existing reservation, will be incurred by guests checking out prior to the scheduled check-out date; unless hotel is given a 72 hour notice." As well as, "72 Hours full refunds for cancellations."

SO, if anyone is having trouble; first climb the corporate ladder and ask to speak to a supervisor. Second; if the supervisor doesnt want to help you, advise him or her of what their policy is as stated on the reservation and politely ask him or her to kindly change the reservation.

NOW this is only for cancellations or reduction of nights, NOT to increase the number of nights.

I do know for a fact that HRH is aware of the fact that we ass raped the twittertuesday deal and they are not very happy about it, they would have rather us go through their group booking dept, so they could have ass raped us.....but needless to say JC.com wins again.

Please do not let them play games with you, if you are cancelling or reducing the number of nights you are completely within rights and do not allow anyone to tell you otherwise.
it's that time again, let's get #28 gentleman....for the boss

She told me that Twitter Deals are not subject to normal booking policy, just like event pricing are subject to different terms.

But that's why we have the official JC lawyer. Thanks NYC!

call back tell her shes a dumbass (politely of course)! Just so everyone is clear, I took that info directly from the actual confirmation email that they sent to me and NOWHERE on it does it state that the deal is subject to or may be subject to different terms dependent upon the vehicle in which you used to book.
