I was thinking the same the same. I had planned on trying it, but I'm sure it's a no go.

Unless they have each twitter-booked room flagged in their system, I doubt the desk clerks will either care or be all that aware. I still plan on trying for an upgrade - if I don't get it, I don't get it, but it's worth a try [if not a room, maybe free internet or day spa passes or something].

This kind of sucks. Not that I'm cancelling or anything, but I called before I booked (and talked to "Norma") just to confirm the res was able to be cancelled if necessary. She told me it was 72hrs like normal.

Oh well, guess that's what you get for cancelling on AOD...

This has my name written all over it since I get there so early in the morning and I will arrive drunk. I was thinking they might try to sell us upgrades like crazy because we got such a good deal. They might say something like well your room will not be ready till 4 pm but I can get you into this upgraded room right now.

true but I was under the impression that they only sold 40 rooms on the twitter deals, if this is true then it will be rather easy for them to narrow it down, but to be honest whether they know or not I really dont think they will treat us any different....although there will be almost 200 people that is a very small portion of their crowds and money will be spent

Realistically, I seriously doubt that anyone will be treated differently than a normal customer. If there really aware of us, then there smart enough to understand this could really hurt/help them in marketing. Were not just 1 disgruntled person on yelp.
