just wanted to share my opinion as well. I texted patrick frank once for XS i believe for monday night. He wanted 100 a person for 2 guys and he would get us in.But the funny thing was there was no line I dont know why he wanted such a absurd tip.

Well in fairness....if you get with him ahead of time, he also can't know if there will be a line or not, sure he has a good idea, but never positive. Also for that $100 your cover would have most likely been waived so the "tip" was really just $100-cover. Still seems a bit high though I agreeOriginally posted by VtecVick View Postjust wanted to share my opinion as well. I texted patrick frank once for XS i believe for monday night. As for the OP, glad that you got what you were looking for at the price you were willing to pay. Supply and demand and such, I would still deal with PF personally because he has done me right when I have needed him and I know that I will be taken care of and have no hassles.Last edited by McNulty; 02-12-2010, 08:28 PM.

Just my 2 cents here... so when we talk about tipping a host for table service what is the "norm" 15-25%ofyour total bill???? (i read somewhere here200-1000$) People I know inthe local bar industry, i always tip 15-25+ % but that being said that is of my total bill. However the Vegas scene everybody that does anything has there hand out, so it makes me wonder, because the waitress gets automatic 18% gratuity plus anything extra if the service is good, and the bouncer gets something as well, then the host is to be again tipped 15-25%????? I can see the waitress cause she is pouring everything and takes care of you, and she shares it with the mix person. The bouncer does his thing too. But I find it hard to tip someone so much that made a reservation and walks me to my table??? Like at a restaurant do you tip the hostess the same 15-25% that you then tip your waitress? I know they are providing a service and I feel 100-200$ should be more than adequate for the service provided, as you multiply that by say a dozen tables and that is a pretty hefty "TIP" he is making on top of his/her "minimum wage"!!!!!!Please give some insight into this as i do a lot of bottle service when in Vegas but have never understood this part of it? Also secondly I do not beleive that name calling is necessary in this forum and do not agree with the original posters statement.June 27-July 3rd My B-day Bash!!!

Well what everyone is trying to say is that if your going to get multiple bottles and that's the agreement them generally you'll have a good size group and with a good size groups you'll be tipping at least $40-50 per person. Were not saying tip em 15-20% just that on a bill that's over $2k you'll be expected to tip more than a $100.
And to what the OP said earlier about tipping the host $500 to get a 2 bottle min..... That's exactly what heavy tipping will get you, lower minimums then the average person! They'll remember you and make sure to take care of you because you took care of them!................

wow I have never witnessed such absurd comments on this forum. Usually people give great advice to the poster. It now seems like there are "clicks" on this website that gang up on people instead of trying to help them. IDK where people get off telling others that these forums arent for them if they dont like what you guys say. Hilarious. Im sure thats what JC made these forums for, a few people that think they know everything about Vegas. Hilarious.
I will put the OP questions/concerns into my own experiences: Ive been getting bottle service in Veges for 6 years now, before I ever knew about this website. Tipping the host is not MANDATORY, it is practical if the host really takes care of you, checks in with you during the day, meets you outside the club so you DONT WAIT IN LINE AT ALL, is friendly and checks in with you during the night, etc. Ive gotten bottle service with just my girlfriend, to getting it with 20 people. Now tipping..... I have gotten bottle service and not tipped the host at all because they were assholes and provided shitty service. When I get good service, we usually tip between $100-$200 depending on the amount of people. If you only had 4 guys, $100 is more than enough. When I got bottle service with just my girl, I tipped $50 and the host was very happy with the tip. So dont let these guys make you feel bad about your tip, it was more than adequate.
*Ive had bottle service in New York, Boston, Providence, Miami and Vegas, so I know the system.

whats up guys,
I wanted to ask a question for those of you who have booked a table at XS with frank. I booked a table with frank for 3 bottles for sat night at XS in march, he emailed me right away(very nice) that i was all set and that he would touch base with him the week of. Someone mentioned that he is never at the door at XS? How do i tip him, or do i just tip who ever helps me when i get there? Lastly did i make a mistake not telling him I'm a member of JC.com? I also wanted to know if any of you have dealt with Justen Crews? I booked a table with him for Friday night at Vanity he also seemed very nice.
Thanks everyone.

Not that I am trying to be negative but when I contacted him about getting in on a Saturday he told me no guest list which I already knew and totally understand, but in the first email he told me 1 bottle per 3 people and when I emailed him back asking if I could get table service with two people he told me at XS it would be a 2 bottle min, and told me he could do it for me a Tryst if I wanted for one bottle. Maybe that is right but 2 bottle. We would never finish them lolOriginally posted by Drew View PostThanks for the info jacob. We appreciate feedback, positive and negative. The thing that is weird to me is Patrick is never at XS himself (usually at Tryst) so he's never the one getting any of the handshakes.

From what everyone has said Justen Crews is solid! He has definitely taken care of several people on here.Originally posted by djvicsor22 View Postwhats up guys,

I agree with you, man... All these people who are saying minimum 50 a person and shit for the host, they either really like to burn money, or don't know any better. I don't know who made you all believe you gotta tip that big for nothing, it's like some delusion i can't get into. IMHO, tipping a host 10-20 bucks a person is more than enough. i know if a group of 5 slipped me a 100 just for taking them into a club and seating them, i would be THRILLED... if they gave me 500? holy shit, i would think i had hit the jackpot... tipping that big is like getting robbed and not having the right to feel bad about it. If I was loaded with cash, on the other hand, I really wouldn't care and would tip as much as I could to keep everyone happy, but I am always tight on cash, so I gotta be level headed and realistic."I don't like jail. After reading this thread I have noticed that there are ALOT of misperceptions flying around. First off I have to state that PF is a very good friend of mine so I may be a little bias in my opinion, but I also feel that I will be very fair to everyone.
Being a member of the forums MAY have its benefits, however I think the the forums have grown an awful lot to where there are alot of "lurkers" coming on the boards reading the forums contacting the hosts dropping the JC name and with that comes alot of no shows, non tippers and plain old assholes which may lead to JC drawbacks.
Las Vegas is all about relationships, once you build them the host will do anything for you. For instance I have sent hundreds of people to Patrick for entry to his respective clubs, sometimes its just for entry other times for tables, sometimes its because there are 4 people 2 guys/2 girls and they wouldnt be able to do 2 bottles so PF will allow a one bottle minimum etc., and there are several forum members that can vouch for me in this regard, and dnix can attest to the fact that he has his very own relaitonships whereby the hosts will take care of him and/or his friends whenever wherever. With that said I think we have to put ourselves in PF shoes, he probably gets 1000 phone calls a week from people he doesnt know from a hole in the wall to which he responds with the club guidelines which will be 1 bottle per 3 people etc. While I can only comment to a reasonable extent on the OP's gripe I will state that not every person will be 100% satisfied with table location tip requests etc. BUT we do have to be conscious that the OP called PF with a rather big request and PF did not have a relationship with OP, to which PF responded with a rather big request of the OP. ITs business, if the OP would have called PF requesting a table (anywhere without specificity) it probaby would not have gone down that road, but when you call him and ask for one of 10 tables when PF and the other senior hosts have relationships with people that have already made requests and understand the tipping situation, PF has to proetect his ass so that he doesnt sell that table without a tip that someone else would have given and he would indirectly be fucking the other hosts as pooling tips is common protocol, whats fair is fair.
While the OP solved his on problem and got what he wanted at the price he wanted he may have just started his own relationship with the host he used, but there is also a chance that the host was dissatisfied with the tip and may not be so quick to grant a request or may not even return OPs calls in the future we dont know, time will tell! It should also be taken into consideration that this was the first post so it may be a case of sabotage, again we dont know but all angles should be considered. There are alot of factors that come into getting a table, the club, the amunt of peeps the ratios, bottle amounts prices tipping etc, we all have to understand this. I would also be wiling to allow PF to voice his side of the story because he may have a solid reason or response.it's that time again, let's get #28 gentleman....for the boss

Only thing that stands out to me is him asking for a $500 handshake. Not only is that extremely douchey, but it's also illegal. Bribing people and helping out the biggest guaranteed "tippers?" that's not even a TIP when you ask for it, that's straight out bribery/robbery.Originally posted by nyc2vegas View PostAfter reading this thread I have noticed that there are ALOT of misperceptions flying around. *Ive had bottle service in New York, Boston, Providence, Miami and Vegas, so I know the system.I agree with both of you, tipping is aboslutely optional. The members are simply suggesting the amount that is reasonable or what they would tip, and I think everyone on the boards are in different financial situations and/or positions and some may be able to tip more and others less. I dont think anyone stated that "$50 person is mandatory" and if a host made me wait or screwed me etc. then it would def directly affect his tipOriginally posted by Bababooey323 View PostI agree with you, man...
