I'm no high roller, I just try to stay within the realm of what's socially expected as far as tips.

If I don't want to pay that amount as a part of the entire cost, then I opt for cheaper options. No shame in that. You don't have to pay thousands of dollars to enjoy the vegas club scene either.

Patrick Frank has always been prompt and professional in my dealings with him.

That's exactly what I'm saying. They get their regular pay which is usually minimum wage but they make their living off of tips. I'm no high roller at all but I know what I should tip and 5% is not a good tip at all! It's Vegas and you get what you pay for I guess. Hopefully your "junior host" takes care of you again.

lol fine next time I will get 1 bottle and tip 100 so its socially acceptable for everyone. And again I highly doubt promoters get paid min wage and get no cut from the total bill.

I think the tip was too small... but whatever. If I was the host I would say the samething on a busy superbowl weekend / for a dance floor table.

But let me share my minor host troubles at LAX that night. I had a table and bottles... but getting in was less than smooth. There was a long line for people with tables. I texted the host (listed on JC) around the time we were up front at the bouncer. Our host came up... said something about just a few mintues. Well it was more than a few minutes. The whole time he's 10 feet away watching us stand there. I got the feeling he might be new there... or just had very little pull. Eventually, the bouncer let us through... and our host grabbed us from there. But it was like there was nothing he could do... until the bouncer gave the ok. GA people were getting in faster than us... and we had a table and bottles. The host was also not very quick responding to emails and text... prior to the time we were in line.

I had a great time that night, once in. I got a good deal. I'm not going to call him any names. But I'm not sure I would use him again.

Also, I sent him an email once home. Thanking him, saying I will be back out in May. No response.

Well, it's just like restaurant.. you should tip 15% unless you had super shitty service. No need to come to the forums and be rude to everyone. They are just giving you advice for your next time in Vegas. If you tip big you're going to be treated better. It doesn't matter what you're spending on bs. Greasing is what's going to get you the good service.. the rest is going to pay for your actual bottles.
Now now now boys, let's all get along.. if we're arguing can't it be for a woman or something worthwhile? hahah

Jacob, what I'm saying is that greasing is what is going to get you the good service.. if you're spending more on bottles they are going to expect you to grease more. if you are throwing so much cash into the bottles whats a few hundred more for good service, right?

He never gave Patrick a tip, he tipped a junior host... and his tip wasn't what resulted in douchey behavior, the behavior he spoke of took place before he went to the club, over the phone.

I would personally tell anyone who straight out asks for a $500 handshake to fuhg off. If you get it, you get it. Asking for it is being too greedy.

The OP went to tryst on a Thursday night and was asked for a 500 dollar handshake? What? This isn't the first time PF has gotten a bad review, I do not agree with a 20% tip on top of a 20% tip to the waitress plus tipping security. This is eventually going to kill some clubs.

Ah ok, I misunderstood. Use a different host next time if Patrick didn't meet your needs. I still don't think there needed to be a thread like this just to bash him, imo.

Cool.. Sounds like Jacob got the deal he wanted. Patrick Frank doesn't deserve to be called a D.B. though. He has helped a lot of us get into XS/Tryst without charging a dime.
