  • Super Bowl in Vegas

Hi guys, I'm new to the site and Vegas, so I was hoping you could all help me out a bit.

I'm heading to Vegas February 5th - 10th, Superbowl weekend and wanted to know where the best place to catch the game and put some money on it would be?

It's just me and a buddy going, so would bottle service still make sense, or is it better just to get our own drinks from the bar? We're both students, so we don't have a huge amount of spare cash, but I was hoping we'd be able to pull it off for about $750 each for the five days we're there. Is that possible/realistic to include bottle service in that? I imagine we'll only go to big clubs maybe twice; the Friday we arrive at 11PM and we'll be dead, and then then we fly out Wednesday at 9AM so we won't want to get too drunk the night before.

So yeah, basically any tips on getting the most out of Vegas on the cheap would be much appreciated.

Not sure about a good place to watch. I assume you can bet at any of the sports books.

Forget bottle service. Pregame heavily, and grease bouncers/hosts to get into places. Consider bottle service if you meet up with others like william and split something. at most just do it 1 night with your budget though.

That's not the most positive review I've ever read dnix... Oh well, I'm sure it'll still be pretty awesome.

I might see who is in town for those dates and come meet some of you, if you reckon more people makes it cheaper.

It is also a fight weekend (UFC) so that combined with super bowl will probably make getting in or on a list even tougher. At least for going on a budget it seems like Saturday is the only challenge for getting into a place if you want to do the clubs.

Maybe since you are on the budget pregame hard and do wristbands@Palms Sat night?

Also there are alot of fun places that you can do with almost no cover, no hassle if you really want to. Of course they are not the high end mega clubs, but it is what you make of it.

Also wondering if the $750 is just drinking or total, because really you are only looking at 3 nights of going out hard according to your schedule.

Nothing wrong with doing it on a budget. My first trip was done that way, as long as each trip is better than the last.

thats def a tough budget, but it can be done.....pregame in the room, forget about bottle service and get to clubs either early or late to ensure access....Ive been on SB weekend and it can be a pain in the ass, id probably look into watching the game at the palazzo sports book, you might have to reserve a table in advance.
it's that time again, let's get #28 gentleman....for the boss

I dont make up the news, I just report it. Youll be fine. Anyone can have fun on a budget. More $$ = less hassle. It doesnt mean you cant get in or enjoy all the same places.

I've been reading about these hosted bars at the Palms on here. What exactly is the deal with those, you pay $120 and you can drink as much vodka and champagne as you want? What's the catch, that sounds like far too good to be true. Or am I misunderstanding what's meant by hosted bar?

I am a big fan of the sportsbook at the Palazzo, but on Super Bowl weekend you will be hard pressed to find prime real estate to watch the game. I would make my wager and head to a sports bar for the game.

Usually at rain. The other packages have not been JC tested and approved!

Around $120ish (varies by date), gets you the wristband which can grant you free entry and express line into all 4 clubs at palms. The hosted bar portion at Rain is limited to a certain time frame. I belive it's 11-1 am, but I could be mistaken as they change it around here and there.

That still sounds pretty good, given the entry to all the clubs is $60. I'll just drink quickly for those two hours then! I assume it doesn't cover mixers, so if I bought a vodka redbull I'd pay for the Redbull?

I see there's a basic package for 40 and a slightly better one for 60. The diff is that 60 gets you past all the lines etc. and 40 you still have to wait, even with a wristband?

When we say wristbands here, we mean the $60, All Acesss ones. It doesn't get you past the lines per se, but to a line just for wristband people (which usually is non existant or only a few people) Sometimes there's more, but it moves quicker than all the rest (very quickly).

Do you think that's a good deal the palms wristband? I suddenly have an opening sat night. Do you like rain?
