  • Nightclub Question

On Memorial Day Weekend, is it possible to get a host to just meet your party in order to help you skip the huge lines. If so, how much? We don't want bottle service but would love to not have to wait hours in a line. Any info or suggestions would be great.

    Thanks

To understand this process let me breakdown what occurs at almost every club in Vegas.
First. You have your doormen. They are 4 to 8 guys that are not social and there sole purpose is to make sure no one gets on the wrong side of the red rope. They are there to filter out the people who have bottle service and then they will get you in contact with the host. They will sometimes carry clipboards with your hosts name and the amount of people in your party when you made your reservation. If you get on your hosts ViP Guestlist you will be on there list and they may comp you entry or they may have you pay general admission or half off. Most hosts have to maintain a guestlist of people that will be coming to the club they work at. Most of the time the host is busy putting names on his list and if you don't get on his list early enough than your probably not going to appear on the doormens lists.
    Second.
The doormen are being watched by the head doorman who is the governing entity of whos comped and whos not comped. This is the head honcho and he is the guy who will usually check id's and if you put a little monetary love under your ID than he may make the decision to use the stamp in his left hand to grant you entry into the club. This is the only guy with the stamp.
    Third.
The hosts are on a totally different system. They are being dispersed by the head host is the conductor who is orchestrating the movement of Vips to the table. He is chosing table numbers and calling up the hosts via his CIA looking wrist mounted microphone and has them come down to escort the next table.
    Fourth.
Now the hosts are running up and down the stairs or going up and down the elevator making sure that the tables are being taken care of. And they have to sometime take other peoples tables too so they are very exhausted.
    and finally.
If you want to skip the line just hook the doorman up and then to the head doorman. Especially on a crazy holiday weekend like MDW. If you go with a host expect to pay around. (LDW at XS was $300 for a group of 10) and you might still have to pay the cover charge. There are companies that will do it for ya but expect to pay around the same amount as if you were just to greese the doormen cause remember they are incharge of the flow.

I hope that this gives you an insight what happens when you get to the front of the club.
    Cheers\_/*\_/Chappÿ

Wow, TAT84, Chapp just saved you a ton of time. I wish I had even known this a few weeks ago. This is THE DIAGRAM for what to expect when you get down there. This should be put at the top of the forum page or the FAQ on JC.com's main page. Laid out expertly sir, well done. Let everyone who has a question about club entry first read this and be schooled!
That being said, if you're asking if it can be done, you're probably not at the level where you could pull it off.

You want to be at the club where girls want to be... not where guys get good bottle deals.

Doesn't this whole thing just strike anyone else as absolutely ridiculous?

I've never been into the nightclub scene, and I guess this is in part why. Why don't they just make people run a Wipeout-style obstacle course? Oy vey.

You could just get some beers and drink them at home. Watch Nerds I-III. Get some jergens...

This site is dedicated to the ridiculous. Gambling is ridiculous. Flying 3,000 miles to pay $400 for a $20 bottle is ridiculous. Paying money for a bed in a building where they rent beds is ridiculous. Why not just stay home? Las Vegas is Ridiculous.

Why even read this stuff? Jack Colton must be ridiculous.

I don't think anyone goes to Vegas to not "spend" money...

Now, how you want to spend it and how much depends as there is definitely something for everyone out there in that nice little town of lights.

Yes, table service does seem to be a bit extreme, and if you do some simple math, you may actually come out ahead depending how big your party is, how much you drink, etc. My buddies and I banked on spending a min. of $200 cash per person per night not including credit card usage. My wallet was puking cc receipts the next few days...

As AK2Vegas put it, everything about Vegas is ridiculous. There is definitely no short of extreme out there.

I go to Vegas never planning to spend more then $100.00. Last December I only spent $82.00 and change. $60.00 of it was spent on some very lovely Steve Maddens.

Guess it helps to have boobs though. Invest in implants mayhaps?

yea..boobs help. I don't think impants will help guys though lol.

Guys can pull off budget style Vegas too and it can be fun too...although you can cross off any of the major clubs if you're attempting that.

It can be, but I'd rather be the guy rolling in after a 10-15 min than the person waiting 3 hours who still might not get in...

Plus the madhouse is part of the fun/experience.
