  • Best hotel for bachelorette party?? Ladies, need bathroom size advice!!

This is sort of similar to Sydneygirl's thread regarding best hotel bathrooms...

I would love all the girls' input on this one. Of course, I would love to hear from the guys too , but IMO, girls getting ready for a night out is a whole adventure in itself.

I'm working on a bachelorette party for 10-12 girls. Right now there's a smoking deal at the MGM Grand (code INB302) for the best rates I've ever seen there. We can get a standard double queen room for less than $100/night over a weekend in April. Budget-wise, we could put 4 girls in each room, and it would be rediculously cheap, but we're really concerned about 4 girls getting ready in that bathroom...

I've looked into the larger rooms, but we can't get those with two queens, so that cuts down on the amount of people we can comfortably cram in there.

Any other hotels that have decent sized bathrooms for 4 girls to get ready in? Maybe suites that can sleep more than 4 people comfortably? The Signature @ MGM would be ideal, but the more I look at it, it's getting to be out of our price range. We don't need somewhere too fancy, we're just going to be getting ready and sleeping there, but a big bathroom is going to be a must!

Since the rates are so cheap at the MGM I'm considering booking 4 rooms so there would only be 3 girls in each room, but I'm not sold on that idea just yet.

    Thoughts?

anyone know what the lighting is like in the rooms at mgm?
if you have decent lights one or two girls can sit at mirror in room, and others in bathroom. no good when its just lamps though.
Wishin's room at palazzo was great for getting ready, bit more expensive, but you could get 3-4 in the bathroom easily, plus another good mirror by the desk.

Are you just looking at on strip or off as well?

Just got back from the MGM last month. There are no extra mirrors in the rooms at the MGM. Oh, I totally forgot about the big one on the wall next to the shower. Even still. 2 girls, maaaaybe 3 could get ready in the bathroom at once. I'm willing to make it work, but the bride-to-be seems the most worried.

The lighting in the rooms at the MGM is crap unless you have decent sunlight coming in the window, which we won't at night...

We were shooting for on the strip, but if there's somewhere off the strip, its totally worth looking into. Nothing as far as South Pointe or anything like that, though. The bride is a little picky about where we stay. MGM, Mirage, those are the only places we've really looked into so far. We dug the MGM because Wet is right there, and now its INSANELY cheap, but she's going to have to pick her battles.

I've heard from a few people that Rio bathrooms are good, seperate changeroom or something. Personally i'd rather stay on the strip and just cram in but its an option
Have a look at rates for Hotel 32 at Monte Carlo as well. Prob much cheaper than Signature & they look pretty big with decent bathrooms.

Hmmmm...i would try to PAlazzo. The standard rooms are huge. You could fit like 7 people in there...720 sq ft. not to pricey either...

I've stayed at Rio and their rooms and bathrooms are nicely sized! Then outside the bathroom they've got mirrors with good lights where at least 2-3 girls can get ready in front off and another 1 or 2 in the bathroom. I'll see if I can find some pics

you could probably sleep two people on the lounge pretty comfortably if you had to.

Having shared a room with three other girls on my last trip at the MGM I can give you some humble advice - time management is key!!

The standard rooms have a nice large mirror behind the sink and a close to full length mirror next to the toliet. Depending on how much shit you guys bring (we brought two heavy duty makeup cases and more hair styling equipment than one really needs), sink space can get crowded really fast. Two girls can get ready fairly comfortably in the bathroom, but if you don't budget your time accordingly, shit gets tedious and aggrevating real fast. I reccomend one girl per mirror, we pulled a chair in to the bathroom and used to the mirror next to the sink.

More than two in the bathroom is damn near suicide, especially if you need the outlets. I reccommend blow drying in the room and then styling in the bathroom to maximize space, outlits and time. Also, shower early, the mirrors fog hard if the door is closed and makes for difficult beautification.

                        Hope this helps!!

I know PH rooms are mediocre, but their bathrooms are huge! There are 2 large mirrors and sinks in the bathroom on opposite sides of the bathroom, so you could easily fit 2 girls on each side.

I think you're looking for something fairly priced, but if not, a suite like the penthouse suite at the Bellagio actually has 2 bathrooms. IMO, the penthouse suite at the Bellagio is priced pretty good, but still expensive if you're not looking to spend that much.

Palazzo has a good sized bathroom. You can comfortably fit 2 girls at the sink/mirror, and then there's a little desk with a makeup mirror against the wall. Palazzo's rooms are decently priced for what you get because they are huge. The standard rooms are suites. You could fit at least 5 people in one room; 2 beds and foldout couch.

I think the ones at TheHotel are pretty good for what you are looking for. Seperate tub/shower, dual mirrors, Seperate half bathroom with sink/mirror. So you could EASILY have 3 people getting ready.

Easily could go 5 to a room as well, 2 beds plus couch and if you were to get 2 rooms together it would be a ton of space as far as bathrooms and getting ready.

They are running a special $89/$119 Code CSPC9K1

It is south strip which sucks if you want to be in the middle of everything, but otherwise I was totally happy there. Pool area is great if you are going during summer and dont want to do the daytime parties. No waits for cabs, no wandering through casino to get to room etc.

Thanks sooo much for the suggestions (and that code, McNulty)!!! I'll burn up plenty of time "pretending" to work today while looking all of these up.

I'm so used to doing Vegas with one or two other people, planning for 12 is mind numbing!!!

                              Thanks again everyone!!!
