He he, not a bad idea for a thread - you guys can help explain to us the why and wherefores of guys and we'll try and help you the other way round (and offer dating advice).

Tuesday is great for asking her out. If she has plans: too bad, but if she hasn't yet, then she's not going to worry about looking liek she doesn't have a life if she agrees to go out with you. plus it gives her time to buy a new outfit and get excited. Carry on with the texting in the meantime too. Don't text loads before asking her out, then go silent till Fri or sat - that's a killer. She'll just be pissed off! (and would require you to explain to us girls why on earth you'd do that!!??? - silence is NOT golden!)

he he, glad I could be of help. Still, you're getting advice from a married lass (who also lives in the UK where dating is really different), Loves can probably give you more upto date info! :-)

Best thing is to not be toooo keen, but don't act like a dick. If she texts you a direct question - answer it. If you're in the middle of a text/email conversation and you've got to go somewhere - tell her, don't just ignore her. She'll be pissed off at you, not a good start - unless she's in to bad boys. But if you're not a bad boy, don't act like one - don't start playing games you can't keep up. Playing games anyway is really tedious. If you like her, act like you like her. Don't be full on and all poetic, just make her laugh and be interested in what she says and does. Simples. If you say you're going to call, call. If you're not going to call, don't say you are. If you still want to play a little hard to get, do it nicely. Make out that you're busy and you'll get back to her later...then leave it a while, but make sure you do get back to her at some point (or else she'll just find someone else who will treat her like the princess she is - coz that's how we all want to be treated at the end of the day!)

My question would be the age old one: - why the fuck do you say you're going to call if you're not? If you're not interested, just say so (although preferably by making some less hurtful excuse, such as you've got a girlfriend already - which means we can just think you're a dick anyway!)

So, so glad I'm not doing the dating game any more, but deciphering what my mate's boyfriends are doing is a full time occupation for me!
