irish guys hitting vegas...clueless!

hey everyone, first off let me say brilliant website.finally a site on vegas clubs without the BS. been a great help reading through it.

so basically myself and 7 friends, all male, are hitting las vegas from the 19th till the 25th this month. we're all 23/24 from Ireland. As you can imagine the whole club situation seems very intimidating for a group of guys who've never been to vegas before.

ive gone through most of the website at this stage and a lot of the forum and have a number of questions that i hope some people can help us with.

First up-bottle service... the group im with arent the type to prebook things, they kind of go with the flow most of the time. so basically if we dont have anything booked but want a table, can we just go up to the bouncers, say we are a group of 8 guys and what a couple of bottles and a table.....or is prebooking the only way??

If we dont go the bottle service route what are our chances of getting into clubs? obviously we wouldnt go as a group of 8, maybe in 2's or 3's? if we slip the bouncer some money (20 dollars each) would we have some hope? we will be well dressed and have money to spend but maybe on the weekday nights we're there we might prefer just go to clubs without bottle service if its not necessary.

also we will be there thursday to wednesday. i was thinking tao thursday and would also like to check out rain, LAX and jet, otherwise im not too sure-where would be best to go OR more importantly where would be best to go for us as a group of guys??-doesnt have to be the hottest busiest club that night.ive heard vegas aint as busy these days, thanksgiving will be coming up-will the clubs be slightly easier that week??

the weekend we're there is also UFC weekend. im sure the clubs will be aware a lot of groups of guys will be in town.would that work in our favour in that they are prepared to be dealing with lots of groups of guys?

and finally one last question.sorry if its not allowed and moderators feel free to delete this part of my post if it breaks the rules, but how easy is it to score blow in vegas? in clubs/casinos/on street? what kind of people would be best to approach or is vegas the kind of place we will be offered it anyways. sorry if i shouldnt be asking this.

bottles are the best way to get into the clubs, however you will be able to grease the bouncers in groups of 2-3 to get in, either get there at 1030 or 1 to make it easier.

fri and sat will be the most difficult and the ufc fight will make it more crowded and difficult as well.

Have no worries though. With some slick persistence, some JC know how (trust in what you've read and learned here so far!), and some $, you and your crew will get into where you want and will have a great time.

i was wondering does anyone have any info or opinion on some of the "smaller" clubs in vegas.(i dont know if they are actually smaller but they dont seem to get as much attention!) places like rok at nyny, studio 54 at mgm, rumjungle at mandalay bay, revolution at the mirage etc etc. everyone seems to be talking about tao,pure,xs etc. would these clubs maybe be easier for a group of guys if theyre not the hottest places in town? are there any worthwile clubs round fremont st?

stay away from rok, rumjungle and studio 54......revelution youll get into no problem, its very small but not too bad, I would suggest JET also.....NOW if you just wanted somewhere to hang amongst yoursleves then the aforementioned spots might be ok and deals can def be had, but the are bad places. and there are NO clubs at fremont just cheap eats, drinks and gambling.

mix isnt the worst place to chill with a bottle too, youll have a decent crowd and nice views

+1...Mix view was realllly nice. But a little more laid back. If that's what you're looking for, then do it. When I was there a bachelorette party walked in.

just seen the rain wristband package on another thread with the free bar.that looks like great value! plus id love to see moon and the playboy club. does anyone know can you simply walk in to the stuff store and buy a wristband on the night or do you have to reserve it in advance? thanks.

Yeah look on Sunfire's and Pckt5s TR they both did that and had an amazing time.. you might want to try it out!!

We also use the phrase 'Caveat emptor' here too, so keep that in mind asking around!

I went to Revolution and it was a VERY mixed crowd. most of the crowd are people that watch the Cirque Love show, because they get free passes, and 2 for 1 drink tickets when they go to the show.. So the crowd has like 21 year olds to like 70 year olds.. it's kinda small inside.. I would definitely not pay cover to get into this club.. They should be handing out passes outside, if not, you can probably get free passes from those guys that stand outside by Caesar's that give away VIP passes for tips..

you could just go up to girls and ask to go in with them, offer to buy them a drink or something once inside, or get passes beforehand, and offer to pay their admission and use the passes LOL. it will work..

I'm not sure if you can get hosted bar the same night but I'm 100% sure you can walk in that night and buy an all access wristband. I saw five people infront of me do it. As far as hosted bar I think you might be able to as well. They just give you an additional wristband and you show that to your bartender on the third floor. There is no guy with a guestlist at the top of the skyboxes or anything. So I would be confident that you can get hosted bar and wristbands that night. But again I'm 100% positive that you can at least get wristbands the night of! Check my TR if your wonder how they work.. I highly highly recommend both, espically hosted bar. There were maybe 15 people up there using it and this was the night before Halloween.
