  • Let's Make a Deal

Read this a while ago, but CBS currently is filming the game show "Let's Make a Deal" at the Tropicana. If you don't know that show, it's the game show from the 70's where people would dress in crazy costumes and pick doors for prizes. Tickets are free - though you do have to step foot in the Trop [blech] - and you can sign up for them at http://www.ocatv.com/shows/show/269.

It would be interesting to see if any forum members got on and maybe won - hey, it's winter time, so what else do you have to do during the day?

I'd rather play The Price is Right. Especially if I get to do the mountain climber game.
The only winning move is not to play.

Do they use real live goats for this?

if anyone ever gets on...remember to switch your door, after the host reveals the first goat, to get the prize.. It's mathematically in your favor!

I like to get on the price is right, but not with Drew Carey hosting now. He ruined it.

I havn't watched the price is right since college (which I would watch everyday), but IMHO I think Drew is OK. He was weak at first but then got a lot better.. I mean he is no Barker, but to expect the same as Barker after doing the show for 8,000 years is asking a little much I think. So all in all I don't mind Drew

All this trop bashing. I've stayed there multiple times lol. It's definately not the greatest and it is kinda ghetto, but the rooms are decent size, some have balconies and an extra pull out sofa, it's pretty cheap (more money for the partying), and the location is decent (easy access to mgm, excalibur, luxor, ny ny, etc)

Thats true. My budget special is usually the Hilton or Excalibur.

I'd love to do this. I want to be the asshole who bids $1 on everything.

Not sure if there are stats.. but bidding $1 seems to be very successful strategy on that show. Everyone likes to overbid.
