  • Dinner at TAO then into the Club???

Hey everyone!!! love this site been on it only a couple hours and so many helpful people. there are 10 of us guys heading LDW from Sept. 3rd - 8th... staying at the Hard Rock. We came the same time last year. We will grab a table 1 or 2 nights but obviously its a challenge getting everyone in other nights. We are thinking to have a later dinner at TAO one of the nights and then just head up right to the club saving ourselves the trouble at the door? Would this work or do they clear out downstairs (the restaurant) before the club gets going?

I've heard it works but it hasn't been proven yet. I know some people were asking about it like a week or two ago. Oh yeah... Welcome to the forums! I'm sure you'll find tons of info before LDW. If your interested were having a member meet up on Saturday the 5th at Caramel inside the Bellagio. You should check it out! Be sure to post up what your itenerary is gonna be and we've got a thread dedicated to LDW in the get connected section.

Don't forget to put an intro in the intro section too!

I have heard it working for small parties, and couples. But for a huge party of guys like yours I wouldn't put my hopes on it. Maybe ask the hostess to see if its possible before you do decide to dine there.

I know a group of attractive girls that tried this last summer. All that happened was the waiter offered to put them on the guest list, and he asked if a neighboring table, small group of guys, could walk in with them. It was still a 2-1 ration, girl to guy, but they were still hassled at the door that night. They ended up having the manager come out, and he explained that the waiter cant put them on the guest list, but let them in anyway. He said something like "obviously *waiters name* knows the kind of clients were looking for, but hes not suppose to do that".

I wasnt there, but I know for a fact thats what happened last summer. Things change though.

Yeah, I certainly wouldn't bet on it working for ten guys during one of the busiest weekends of the year. You could try it, but absolutely have a fall back in case it doesn't work (or gather up some dough to get a table)

ireland1987, I'm gonna try to say this in the nicest way possible. I'm guessing by your user name that you're from Ireland. If it's anything like England, most people aren't aware of table service/bottle service.

On one of the most busiest club weekends of the year (aside from Memorial Day and New Years Eve), it's a safe bet that you should do bottle service anywhere in Las VEGAS for a group of 10 guys or split your group up and go in separate packs.

Based on all the experiences I've had with Tao, plus advice from industry staff that work at Tao and other nightclubs, they've told me straight up that if I don't have one of the following:
            • a 1/2:1 guy:girl ratio for guest list
            • a table
            • an OUTRAGEOUSLY strong connection with the club (aka doorman or host). Even then, it's likely the host or doorman will NOT be happy with what you're trying to do OR you'll have slip a little grease his way.
there's not much chance I'm getting in.

The only other way this would happen is if you're going in with someone working in the industry.

thanks all for the advice!!! think we will just do a table and save the hassle, sure dinner there would pay for a 1/3 of it

Ten guys is a lot, but you could always break up into two groups of five.

I've heard of this working and the staff at Tao restaurant (of course) basically promised it would work, even given the situation. May try it.

I'm going this route on 9/10 and she stated as long as we were 21 and dressed nice enough and if we each ordered an entree at Tao we would receive line passes into the club. But there are only 2 of us and 10 of you, but it never hurts to ask. Hope this helps

so to end the debate it absolutely WORKS! i just came back from vegas. me and my bro did his bachelor party there. it was 11 of us total. make sure everyone has on club wear. 2 guys got sent back to change for sneakers and 2 got grief for having on sweater(but we convinced them to let them in) you all have to get an entree they say but we def had guys sick at the table who did not get entree's.

Its the smartest Vegas idea. essentially you get a awesome meal + Tao club entry in a short line for the price of one. Its def the gameplan for ppl with a lot of guys who dont want bottle service or to wait in line.

FYI - i think tao is the best place in Vegas. Tao beach was sick as well... hope this helps...

Hmmmmm.... This may be a good option for next weekend if it works. I wonder if it would be any problems on Labor Day weekend. Ill see if i can convince my boys to pay for a TAO dinner. Damn cheap asses.
