+1.. I totally agree with tangos aforementioned comment. I don't think I have ever met any one that has been like uh oh he/she has a ring on...therefore I can't talk/hang out, get to know them.Vegas: May 2 - May 5

exactly.. my friends and i have had good times with group of married men . no big deal.. we were all single, but they were married (well almost all married, except one who was goin to get married soon).
but since our intensions were just to laugh and have drinks, we really didn't care. they were very nice gentlemen like, and all around nice friendly guys from atlanta, and were in town for a bachelor party.

That is so far from the truth! Its easier to talk to women because they want something thats unattainable most of the time. You will be more of a "catch" and challenge to them. I actually have a buddy that has a fake wedding ring he uses when we goes out. Its pretty much guaranteed that he will be mingling with someone throughout the course of the night.Originally posted by luckythirteen View PostMy "intentions" are not to hook up, but I want to have a great time even if I am solo. My thoughts are that if I have the ring on, it may be harder to strike up conversations and/or meet others that I may be able to hang with as far as nightlife goes.
I should have been more clear in my original post.
PS. Its wrong, I don't play that way
But then I m not married either...

My married friend says I should wear a ring because it will look like I'm married, therefore I'm less of a threat. He's even offered to let me borrow his on occasion.
I think it's kind of a douche-bag move though.
+1 on most thoughts that you don't need to take your ring off to strike up a conversation.FO SHO.Originally posted by redbullvodkayou're not ditching them, they're ditching you by not going.Originally posted by kimballYou want to be at the club where girls want to be... not where guys get good bottle deals.

I don't think it matters if you wear your ring. My friend and I went last month (both married, both wore rings) and hung out with other married people and single people. We did run into a divorce party...they gave us crap for being married. No biggie we understood.
Besides I think wedding rings on guys are sexy. I am always cleaning my husbands for him. Mmm nothing like a shiny ring.Dear Captain Morgan.....I've seen the pics we need to talk!
