I don't think there are, but I'd be willing to try if there are.

Is it true that in the US / Canada you have loads of light beers? In the UK we only have Coors light..that's it! Does Bud light, etc have the same amount of alcohol as normal beer?

If so I think i've just worked out how i'm going to be 'healthy' in Vegas
It depends what you mean by "normal". If you mean "like water", then yeah, Bud Light has about the same alcohol content.

Well to me they both taste like water'd down beer. They might be a "light" beer but you'll still end up drinkin a ton of them before you finally get a buzz where if you drink a non "light" beer like Newcastle you might get a buzz quicker.

          Yeah.

Ok, I pulled out a little beer snob there - if you like the domestic lights, more power to you (and more money for ya, too). And I'm not above drinking it - if it's handed to me, I'm down for it. But I'm gonna be honest - it really doesn't hit the spot like a Newcastle does.

If you do like the domestic light brown bottles, though, 'cause you don't like too much of the flavor, I definitely recommend that Oregon Honey Beer. No idea where you get it, but that stuff is smooth. Dangerously smooth.

Also, I hear that the domestic light stuff actually is watered down. "American Ale" from Budweiser is supposed to be the uncut stuff - supposedly stronger.

Just a personal preference I suppose, but I like to start the night off with some more heavier beers/ more "higher end" stuff... but after maybe 4/5 of them I gotta switch to a light beer to really get the ragging started. The heavier stuff just seems to make me feel full and harder to guzzle....

Newcastle or Amstel Light are usually my two favorites, but lately i've been into Guinness or Black/Tans.

Funny you guys should say this, because just this last saturday I was at The Goat Hill Tavern in Costa Mesa and they have a new New Castle summer ale out.

I thought it was OK. Nothing great.
