  • Poor music played in Vegas clubs (imo)

I know it's a matter of personal taste but the music they play in Vegas clubs is poor. I mean Top 40 ! It's like being in a high school disco! The music that is prevalent in Europe (Ibiza for example) is on a much higher level (more energy) and I know it's one person's opinion but it seems to be the way of all Vegas clubs. Why? I would have thought that at least some clubs would have cottoned on to this trend. I heard the phrase 'catering to the masses' but is it though? Would the majority of people out there rather listen to Top 40 tripe ?! If so then.....well I'm speechless.

In my personal opinion, id rather listen to Rock, Hip Hop, Top 40 than House music anyday.

and that's fair enough Keebler but I just wish that Vegas clubs would offer a little more diversity than they do at present.

Well i know that they do House music on certain days in certain clubs. If your looking for more beat music i would look into that so that you can be with music you enjoy.

I believe they have had clubs that play a majority of house music, but they didnt last. The clubs are going to play what they feel the majority of their clients want to hear.

I guess that means you should be speechless.

Yeah - I've noticed that Paul Oakenfold is at Rain. Now if he was at XS that would be a perfect match but alas it's not to be.

The style of music at these places suit more of the american crowd. You probably want to hit up one of Jet's house nights, and I think BE has one as well.

Yeah, you're right on that point Royale (although the 'Winter Music Conference' in Miami seems to go down well !) Thanks for the advice on Jet and BE by the way.

Winter Music conference is crazy. I like 5 minutes from it. When it is going on i cant even get across the causeway back to Mainland Miami because traffic is horrible.

                      lol truth...

you can't stop liking something just because others like it too

reminds me of girls that will throw away perfectly good clothes because someone else at work/school has the same thing

I like the top 40.. they got some great hits with house mixed in there. It seems to be like the new craze. Like Pitbull's Hotel Service song has a house track mixed in. I swear I heard it before back in the days, but he brought it back with his own style. Another few songs worth checking out is LMFAO - La La La and Far East Movement - Girls on the Dancefloor. Good tracks.

Being a club jock myself, there's a couple of things to take into consideration. Alot of times the music being played is dictated by management. They give you a format to play and expect you to follow it. There's usually a list of do not play songs as well. Vegas attracts a wide variety of people. Not everyone is hip when it comes to what's new & hot in club or house music. That's why I can see the mainstream top hits being pounded in the clubs. Bottom line, it works. The average person would rather dance to songs that they know.

Kind of like all of Chris Brown's tracks are black listed now?
