How much to sandwich for one week?

id go with $50, the $20 usually works for up to 3 nights, fitty is plenty for a week

There were 4 of us checking in with two rooms at the Mirage for 4 nights and I gave the girl a $50 sandwich... she didn't ask for IDs right away but I made sure she saw the $50 before I asked about complimentary upgrades. I was able to get both of our rooms upgraded to Tower Deluxe plus 8 spa passes (worth $25 each). From what I've seen, most people have had success with tipping $20, but I'm guessing it would depend on who you're tipping and which hotel you're staying at.

While she was doing the room upgrade I just asked if she was able to provide any buffet or spa passes. She asked how many I wanted and since only 2 of us were using them for the 4 days, I asked for 8 (they covered the $25 admission into the gym & spa... not for treatments).

Vancouver is beautiful! We've been having a string of hot hot weather over the past week although it's cooled down to about 25C. I love whistler, a shame I haven't been able to make it up this summer yet but it's always a fun trip when I can. How long are you coming out for and what's the occasion?

just for a few days.. and i'm just visiting a friend that lives over there. also have some friends in vancouver i want to visit.

okay, totally off vegas now ... lol


should i rent a car? or just take the bus from the vancouver airport to whistler?

If your sandwich technique doesn't work, then print out of those free gym passes. 24 fitness is probably tops out in LV. Only 10 mins from the strip.

I've gone on a couple six day stays to LV and have always just stuck to the $20. I think the $50 is excessive unless you're asking for a bunch of other upgrades.

hmmmm, good question! I always like having a car for the sake of convenience but if you're staying in whistler the entire time then you're basically walking everywhere anyways and a car would be useless. I'm sure your friends will drive you around if necessary :P

I was wondering this same thing.

We're staying at the HR next week. Checking in Wednesday and checking out Monday... I was thinking of doing $40 just because I didn't want the $20 not to be enough...

True. Getting the job done and good solid Vegas advice are two different things though!
