As you're new to table service protocol, if the host doesn't mention a tip, give one anyway. I usually say 30.00 for each person going in.

Once you establish yourself, it becomes more relaxed and you can take it from there.

is the tip expected when you get there and walked to your table or do you do it as you leave?

the tip to the host is when he walks you to your table, the tip to the waitress at the end of the night.

From my experience, tables nearer the dance floor cost more. I personally dont like it on the dance floor because you cant even tlk to the females that you bring back to the table. I like to get tables away from te dance floor...more secluded that way.

XS and Vanity had the best service. Other than those, I've done tables at TAO, revolution lounge, Poetry, the bank, and a club thats no longer open called ICE.

It was cool. It was 3 of us so we had 1 bottle on the first level (the lounge area). We would find girls in the upstairs dance area to bring down to the lounge area. It wasnt as loud so we could chill and talk. I always prefer tables that are secluded and if you do as well...get one in that area. Plus the tables upstairs near the dance floor have premiums you pay ON TOP of the bottle prices ($1000+)

XS has the best tables bc of the cool locations, and Vanity just treated us VERY well. maybe beause we went the 2nd week it had opened... ha

I cant really think of a bad location at XS. The stripper pole is always a fun area.

When is it you're going?! the cabana style tables outside will be amazing in the summer, was just too cold to be sat there when we went over NY.

The tables either side of the DJ booth are the best, but I'd expect the bottle minimums to be HIGH up there. There's a row of tables next to the dance floor on the opposite side to the DJ booth which are awesome, but if like's been mentioned you don't want to be directly on the dance floor, then there is a row behind these that face the other way so is less hectic, but you get a great view of the people walking between the two bar areas making it easy to call girls over.

The last area of tables is just inside the door to the outside area, these are the smaller tables and is where we were. Was a lot of fun there too, and plenty of areas behind the bench seats that you can dance on! Less people walking past you, but a bit more secluded.

Guess it depends what you class the "best table" as!

Never be afraid to hijack on these forums. Its not like tripadvisor where 60 yr olds talk about their casino winnings and get all but hurt when someone chimes in.

damn man, tipping a host so much just for walking you to a table seems nuts to me... before reading about it online, i'd figure just slipping 'em a 20, and they'd be gracious... boy, would i have been wrong. LOL -- damn though, i guess i gotta cough up the extra cash.
