I've only visited Chicago, but I went to Tequila Roadhouse and Grand Central Station (that I remember).
Grand Central Station was pretty good (little crowded, but still, pretty good bar) and Tequila Roadhouse was ok. I see now that TR is closed and replaced by Rebel Bar & Grill.Last edited by wat; 07-31-2009, 06:08 PM.Vegas trips: 11/2004, 11/2008, MayOD 2011, 9/2012, July Invasion 2013, 2/2015, 7/2015

Ok. Got some more clarification from the wife. When they are there Friday night they are looking for more chill places lounges and bars, and then Saturday night they are looking for the all out crazy fun dance club.
They want to be able to bar hop Friday night for a bit, and then Saturday bar hop again before the club.
Saturday night their going to Tavern at the Park for dinner.
Any suggestions on the best places to go for that kind of experience would be great. Also if you know any of the good places to eat in Chicago (like things you have to do, like deep dish pizza and all that)
Also, how is the Hard Rock Hotel downtown?
Thanks guys! i really appreciate all your help

I haven't stayed at Hard Rock but friends have and they liked it a lot.Originally posted by Keebler View PostOk. Got some more clarification from the wife. If they want to bar hop I would definitely recommend Wrigleyville. Starting from the stadium all the way down Clark there are tons of bars in a row. It's probably my favorite place to go. During the day it's laid back more casual, at night it gets more dressy. Places to check out: Cubby Bear, Red Ivy, John Barleycorn. Plus, they can see the best monument in Chicago, Wrigley Field.
Another place to bar hop is Rush/Division. There is a ton of stuff there as well. It's more a mix of Clubs/Bars.
As for the Saturday night club, there are a lot of options. Like I said before, i'm sure i'll have some events friends are promoting and they are at all the high end clubs so it definitely will be a good time. It will probably save them cover and maybe I can get them setup with something else too. I'll give you more on that as events are planned.
Chicago has SO many good places to eat, i'm just not a big food person. I like a lot of the outdoor patio type places. It depends on what type of food you're into. Of course the deep dish pizza is a Chicago mainstay, but it makes me sick thinking about it (i'm on a health kick at the moment). That metromix site will give you more food advice than I ever could.

I stayed at the Hard Rock back in summer 07 for a bachelorette party. It was recently renovated...the rooms have such a great vibe. They'll enjoy it!
My recommendations for Friday night - dinner at Piece. Pizza place/bar with really fantastic flat bread pizza. (Deep dish chi. pizza + drinking = BAD IDEA!) On Saturday, they have live-band karaoke which is a blast to watch...not sure if it carries over to Friday night. (Bachelorette parties LOVE doing karaoke!!) Then bar hop in that area (Wicker Park/Bucktown)...I mentioned earlier a few bars, others include Cans, Cortland's Garage, Debonair, etc.
Saturday, tschwicht's recommendations of Wrigleyville or Rush/Division for bar hopping before the club sounds perfect.
She'll have a blast!

I have to put my 2 cents in for this one. Hard Rock is a pretty decent location (I work across the street). If they are going to Tavern for Dinner (great place and great bar staff!!) I would head over to the WIT Hotel just down the street (State and Lake, across from the Chicago Theater www.thewithotel.com) The hotel just opened and is THE place to be right now and also has a rooftop lounge that has killer views. Somewhat pricey drinks but its Chicago and its new. Market also has a pretty nice rooftop lounge and really good Market Mojitos! Its in the west loop, not a very far cab ride from Tavern or the hotel.
Going out, I would say underground is pretty good and in the loop still and ive heard good things about BonV as well.
Bar hopping, I personally like Lincoln Avenue near Depaul. Some fun places, but kind of younger crowd so it can be hit or miss, but I just love Stanleys Kitchen and Tap...love that place, its a big hang out for sports guys and celebs on the weekends.
Have her check out www.yelp.com as well. I love love love that site. Honest reviews and pictures.
I would also second on Wicker Park/Bucktown (my hood!), very cool bars on Milwaukee/North/Damen. Plan B is one of my favorite places, I go every year almost for Birthday's. Go early enough and you will get a table without any problems.

Bon V is great. I've only been there once, but I know someone who does promotions there quite abit. It's of course pricey, but what club isn't in Chicago. I couldn't tell you where it is if I wanted to if that tells you anything about the last time I was there.
