Bottle Service. Pure vs Prive

Hey Vegas Lovers,
Can you help me out? My husband and I are going to Vegas for our one yr. anniversary. Yea! I would like to surprise him with a nite at a club. I can't decided between Prue and Prive. I definetly want to pay for bottle service, so I understand the bill will be huge.$ 400-600 bones for the nite. I am already saving pennies. Can you give me some feedback to as to which club you enjoy over the other. We want, good music (we actully like to dance), pretty people, and access to quiet areas. Both clubs assure me the table is ours for the nite.
Also is it worth the extra money for premium liquor? Is it frowned upon to just order champange?

I'd get the premium liquor because the price difference between that and champagne is almost non existent. You'll get a lot more drinks out of a 750ml Grey Goose than a 750ml bottle of Santana Champagne, so crisp.

Anyway, I really, really, enjoyed Prive when I was there last week, so I can definitely recommend it pretty wholeheartedly, and really I have anti-Pure bias.

What night would you be going, as that will help us give you advice.

Why are you anti-Pure? Bad experience? Overrated?

Our anniversary falls on a Sunday,09/27. But I am not stuck on going out on the nite, we can go out on Sat 09/26 or Sun. Not sure, does that make a difference?

Yeah, it really does make a difference, especially between a Saturday and a Sunday night. Saturday night most major clubs will be good, Sunday you really want to hit up The Bank or Body English to get the best possible experience.

Another question, are you open to suggestions on other clubs or is there a specific reason that you wanted to hit up Prive/Pure? Just because, like Dnix hinted at, there may be better options for the kind of night that you are trying to plan =)

Pure, in my opinion, is overrated and getting in, even with bottle service, is a way bigger hassle than it should be because they refuse to have any sort of real organization at the door. It's just annoying and not the way I like to start out a night. But, other people love it, so take what I said as my opinion.

Thanks, AK. My husband gets easily annoyed by stupid people. He can't really handle too much chaos. I am open to other suggestions for clubs. I've just started to do my research and those two clubs kept coming up.....I feel you on the Pure vibe. Clubs can become overrated quick and feel tired and played out once you are inside. I only know because I am from S. Miami, FL. What other clubs do you have in mind? I know Dnix says Tryst. I have been there (had a great time) but was looking to go somewhere new. Let's settle on Sat nite. Sun nite I take my honey to Voodoo and we kiss under the starts.

hey alli welcome aboard. Im with dnix for what youre looking for id go with tryst, but I do understand that since youve been there you want to go somewhere new....if youre dead set on somewhere new and what youre looking for id go with prive, simply because getting into pure could actually ruin your night unless you speak with brandon and tell him what youre looking to do and he assures you that he can meet you at a spot away from the line and walk you guys in. cause if youre fighting the line and trying to suprise your hubby its gonna be tough....as for the crowd youre looking for id go with tryst, I get easily annoyed by stupid people myself and Ive always enjoyed the tryst crowd, but again becasue of the "suprise" factor you want it to go smooth too.

Definitely agree with everything nyc said.

The only other place I would recommend would be either Tao or XS, and only if you got tables away from the action, near the pool for XS and at either Tao Beach or the lounge in Tao, that way he has a refuge from the "stupid people" and you have a quiet place to go back to and enjoy each other's company when you aren't dancing.

WOW, thanks you guys. I really like the honesty with which you guys answered my questions. Yeah, thinking more about it, Pure is out. We are going on a Saturday nite, so like you said all the major clubs will be jumpin. The rats are coming out, three seperate guys have contacted me tell me they have the "hook up" Spencer from Pure, Adam from Rain and some other yahoo who sent me a personal email here at JC.com to tell me, he will take care of all the details for Pure. What up with that?

Too bad there isn't a way to turn off the ability to send PM's for people with less than a certain amount of posts. That way they could only apply.

Who knows.

Anyway, only use the hosts on the main JC front page, and make sure you contact them first, not vice-versa. They are all proven guys that JC vouches for and are used to dealing with people from these forums. Definitely your best bet.

Does anyone really use private messaging on here? Would you be opposed to me just killing the PM system? Maybe installing a chat room instead?
