I got quoted $2k from a direct host and have an email confirmation. You think they won't honor that when we get there?

This is probably moot at this point since we decided to get an upper cabana at EBC for Zedd for the same $2k instead (and thus I plan to cancel the Wet daybed), but I would like to know if Wet has a habit of lowballing and then not honoring their quotes.

did you get those quotes recently or a month+ in advanced?

I got the quote as early as possible - about 2 months in advance.

If that far in advance, mins have probably gone up. Not sure how good the hosts at wet are about honoring quotes that early

Yeah you should follow up the week of and make sure the minimum for the location that you wanted is still the same. Often times when you ask for pricing that far in advanced it will change due to demand or lack there of. While your minimum may stay the same the location can certainly change. It really isn't up to the hosts to honor anything most of them time, if management changes the pricing we have to notify clients and adjust accordingly.

I could certainly see being bounced from one location to another, but the daybed is the cheapest option (and we did not settle on any particular daybed location), so they would be telling us to go GA or raising our minimum.

I feel good about the EBC reservation, though. I sent EBC a credit card authorization, and although they are going to hit us with a pretty steep cancellation fee if we cancel (we won't), we are locked in for the $2k min.
