Opinions on Tao Beach on a Thursday

Hi all!

Myself and a few friends are flying into Vegas for MDW. Staying at the Venetian and i'm looking at renting a corner couch or cabana at Tao Beach on the thursday to kick off the weekend. But i'm noticing the prices are way lower than other places. I'm being quoted 500 for a couch, and 750 for cabana.

Just wondering if maybe the prices are so low because Thursdays are slow and we are better off using that money towards a better party on the actual weekend. We don't need it to be the greatest party ever, just want to have a good time with good music and pretty girls to gawk at, and don't see many similar options on a thursday.

Any opinions and experiences would be greatly appreciated! PS:This will be my first trip to vegas!

Thursdays at Tao Beach and Liquid, the other venue I would recommend, are slow on Thursdays. That said their size is an advantage here because 100-150 people at those venues still feels like a party versus the same number or more at say Wet, Daylight or EBC and feeling like you're alone.

You might not even need a daybed or cabana, but you can do a lot of drinking for that price.

Thanks for the reply! I booked a couch because i'm sure we will easily consume that much liquor and food. it'll be our first full day in vegas so I figure it'll be a good kick-off whether it's slow or not

We also arrive on a Thursday in July. Would you recommend going to Tao/Liquid or just drinking round our hotel pools (cosmopolitan)?

I am doing Tao Beach in early June. Cabana prices are excellent (pm me for info). Plus... its a smaller party... and i think an ideal warmup if you planning to go out Thurs night too.

I heard the food at Tao Beach is also good.

I was wondering too. I had been wanting to go to Tao, but i dont want to be upset by the size. If it packs a punch...... for the price, it may be a great option. Just havent decided yet.

Tao is cool. Thursdays are no-cover days and when my gf and I arrived they offered us a daybed for $200 and this was during Fight week.

The pool itself is pretty good. Maybe one of my second faves because of its intimacy level and the party has a pretty decent energy.
I actually have a nice, short 15 second video on my instagram that actually covers Tao on a thursday. It's about the 12th or 15th most recent pic if you want to check it out.

Nice video! My group would have a great time whether the pool was busy or not, but glad to see there is a nice vibe on a thursday.

Ok...Just landed back home from a week in Vegas over MDW and let me say...holy shit! What a blast! We flew in Wednesday night and went straight to the strip club til 6 in the morning. We hit Tao beach on Thursday and Saturday.

Thursday at Tao is chill. They have some loud music playing and there were a few girls dancing around but for the most part it was just a bunch of people chilling out and enjoying the atmosphere. We decided not to take the couch we had booked. Had a few drinks at the bar, checked out some women, then went down to walk the strip after an hour or two. Even though we saw a woman pull her tits out, I personally wouldn't recommend dropping money on a lounge area on Thursday. You can just enter and have a great time without it but the atmosphere is more chill. Just a little more lively than the other pools outside.

Saturday at Tao Beach....TOTALLY DIFFERENT STORY. Originally we were planning to hit Wet Republic but after catching a glimpse of Tao it looked too good to pass up. Plus it saved us the hastle of traveling to MGM and taking that long ass walk to the pool. We got a deal on a daybed for $1000 (originally 1500) and had a total blast. The place is small, and it was packed but for some reason it just never feels annoying. We had enough space, and liquor, and everyone from the staff to the other people around us were amazing. Music was great, the girls were hot, the wait staff were professional. We were happy with our decision.

So my recommendation: If you have a choice to go on thursday or the weekend, take the weekend. Thursdays are ok, but if you are looking for a jumping party it will disappoint.


*PS: We got the daybed deal at the gate but I wouldn't recommend doing this because we were lucky and literally got the last one available that someone canceled on. Definitely book with a promoter so that you aren't disappointed. But if you are like us and make a last minute decision then it's worth a shot.
