  • Is it possible to enjoy Pool parties if you're out of shape?

Now I'm not obese or anything like that but I have a gut and a bit chubby, I feel like I wont be able to have fun with the ladies and steroids guys will clear up the venue and I would just have to watch from the corner

I know I sound superficial but this time I'm going solo on MDW, if I'm not going to be interacting with females I will feel lonely and insecure and not sure if I'm going to have fun

There are all shapes and sizes in Vegas! They only post pics of buff guys and hot girls on their Facebook pages, but when you get there, it's not exactly the same. Going solo is hard if you're not outgoing, maybe try connecting with people going on the same date here on the Forum and try to meetup/split bottle service with them.

I considered it and found some people willing to invite me to join them in this forum which was really nice of them to do, but I don't feel comfortable with online meetups

Vegas aint like Hollywood. Far less judgmental people. Just do you. Everyone's too busy getting drunk and having fun to be paying attention to how different other people look. Let your hair down and have fun!

Harren, just go there and have fun! Never think about what others may think of you! I mean, never freakin ever! What scooner already said, everyone's too busy getting drunk and everyone's there to have a good time. You should, too. Just be open and be yourself. Enjoy!

Nobody there will notice or care. Everyone is getting hammered and generally in a great mood (EDM does that to large groups it seems). Enjoy yourself!!!

I might be living proof that out of shape doesn't matter (at least in Vegas)!! I am pretty muscular but have a beer gut, and used to diet like crazy before going to Vegas, either with buds or my wife. I soon learned nobody cares how you look! I think California in General is very superficial like that, messed up our heads. Here at home if I bumped into someone in the club, it was problems. In Vegas my or buds bumped into several groups, ended up taking shots with some NY guys, and got invited to some wild Brit rugby players table! Everybody is there to party and spent lots of $$$ doing it, nobody cares or judges. One last thing, if youre a little "fluffy" and don't care, rock that "I'm rich and don't GAF" attitude!

No worries bruv, just take a drink or two and forget about such superficial things. If you are a funny person nobody will care about your body. CAN speak from experience, I'm on the chubby side myself. Not to brag, but not only have I been accepted on such venues, but did also get lucky a few times

Very true! I'm going next month and a buddy of mine is definitely on the heavy side compared to the other guys. He is still a cool person to kick it with and he DGAF.

dude, right here is your problem, you're negative. No bullshit all the guys I'm going with are people I met on here. They are the only people who want to do BS and spend the money. I would hit those people up and say that you are in .

You should really book the May Invasion next year. Obviously you cant this year, because it was this weekend. I promise you will never feel out of place or uncomfortable with the group. Its a complete variety of people with only Vegas in common. I have friends Ive meet through that event that have now traveled to my home, and me to their home. Most people that make that event never travel to Vegas solo again. Recently, a guy I met at last years event had a layover in Houston, and his 2nd flight was canceled. He hit me up, so I picked him up from the airport and gave him a place to crash. Then I took him back to the airport the next morning. You should definitely meet up with forum people. You can always leave if you dont click with them. Its different then meeting inet people in your hometown. No one from another state or country is going to be calling you to hangout all the time. lol If you bail, the odds are, youll never see or hear from them again.

That being said, Ill be there Wed-Sun. I might be able to hangout one of those days, even if its just a hotel pool. Hit me up if ya want.

Like Dnix said. Be nice, help around the forums and meet fellow JC members. Everyone here is for the same reason and that is having a good time.

Make friends here. Everyone here is pretty genuine.

If you have lots of money buy bottles and you will have accepting friends in no time! >

Also! I was in the same situation as you.

Paleo + P90 X for 3 months straight. Try your hardest at it then love life because you will never ask this question again!

I weighed in at 240 when I started that and 1.5 years later i am in the best shape of my life at 185 lbs and lifting more than I ever could have dreamed of.

All solo, all paleo (with plenty of cheat days lol) and lots of p90x and just running/lifting weights.

There are a million other benefits than just looking better shirtless. Energy and hardly ever getting sick again for sure.

I dont know your personal life situation but I can tell you it worked wonders for me.
