EDC week pool parties

I am headed to see EDC and will be in Vegas June 19-23. I am looking for info on the pool parties that are going on during the daytime. From what i can see so far it looks like Wet Republic is the place to be as it has some of the top DJs each day. My question is what is the best way to go about making sure i have a cabana or something reserved for that day or is this even possible? I dont want to end up waiting in a line to get in and then stuck standing so i was hoping to get some kind of VIP area with bottle service to make it that much better.

Wet USED to be the place to be, but is now in fourth place behind EBC, Daylight, And MDC, pretty much in that order.

Definitely talk to a host ahead of time at whatever venue you pick if you want a cabana or daybed or such.

Wet has an amazing lineup for edc week!
Encore beach has also announced
Marquee and Daylight have not announced yet but you can get an idea of there lineups based on there resident djs
Kaskade will probably do Marquee on saturday or sunday.

To help you understand the pool situation- edc has 133,000+ ticket holders not including people who just come in for the parties/ regular Vegas visitors. Most of the pools capacity is in the single digit thousands-probably around 3,000.

While edc is about 2 and half months away its worth contacting hosts now if you want a cabana/ day bed and you should probably try to lock in a price if you can they are at a real premium.

Wet is a very solid pool party- it booked djs like afrojack and avicii back in 2011- then it lost all of its djs to Wynn in 2012- then in 2013 because of Hakkasan it got some of the big names back. You see the lineup this year- it will be a good time.

I have to agree with artedm, the wet line-up is quality!

We are thinking of doing Marquee on Friday, getting quotes of $2k min for day beds, but will need to be confirmed once the lineup is out, might be able to do $1.5k.
Saturday might do Avicii @ EBC just GA
Sunday most likely Tiesto @ Wet - got a quote for $1-1.5K min for a day bed, if i can lock in the 1k min, ill prob take it now.

Since there's only 4 of us, i think anything over the 1-1.5k min will be out of our budget and will have to resort to GA tickets.

I would like to get peoples thoughts on this. also would GA work well for those days? Im worried about getting there and seeing a massive line-up and having to wait hours outside with a nasty hangover!

Also thoughts on doing XS nightswim on the sunday night with GA tickets rather than a table? Or would you rather do nightswim with a table and skip the daybed that day? (nightswim is also looking like a $2k min atleast, which may be out of budget too)

couple things to think about
1. on your hotel $1500 for a 1 bedroom is pretty steep-
if you want to go low end to save money for the parties you can get a 1 bed for those dates for around $300 total on kayak.com
or you can get a two bed for around $500.
Realize the Friday and Saturday night during edc are the most demand, sunday a little less, the rest of the dates very low demand.

2. the pools aren't going to massively over sell tickets- they will stop selling.

3. Tiesto is already a $85 male entry each- so $1000 almost sounds like a bad quote for a day bed.

4. on nightswim- the sunday of edc-
The prices you see being talked about on the forums $500 tip+ $2000 are for Sunday of MDW weekend- one of the top one or two nightswims all year.
with sunday nightswim during edc- you might be able to even get a tryst style bottle deal- this is because such a large crowd is out at edc

5. about the sunday of edc- if want to experience edc one night sunday is the best- some people have to leave vegas on sunday. You can also buy a table at edc for just one night.

We are paying around 1450 for 7 nights for a 1 Bed suite, between 4 of us. Which is around $50 a night each. I think that’s pretty reasonable as it also offers some room to move, I don’t want to be stuck in a small bedroom with 3 other guys for a week. So I don’t mind paying that.

Do you mean that tickets will sell out soon enough, so tickets lines wont be too bad ..? correct?

By bad quote, do you mean too low? Can you recommend a host for Wet. The guy I am dealing with is very slow to respond and his minimums are a bit all over the shop!

I really hope your right! I will have to reach out to a host and ask, but the vibe im getting from all the promoters this early on, the mins for EDC week/weekend and going up.

We plan on doing EDC on Fri and Sat night, already got our tickets. This way we get to experience the festival and avoid paying premium cost for bottle service on those nights. Hoping to do nightswim or eclips on the Sunday night and a couple bottle service deals on the mon, tues or wed at some of the bigger clubs, when things have quietened down a little bit.

Reach out to them - your minimums are low mate. Really low. $1000 for a daybed at wet republic during EDC quite simply is not gonna happen.

Youll need to double that.

I'm going to EDC, went two years ago and when I reached out to hosts beginning of May they all told me they were focused on MDW and to contact them afterwards, so I don't think you'll get accurate quotes until early June. I'm hoping daylight, marquee come out with their line-up soon so we can decide where to go

1. what I'm saying on the hotel room- is realize its one bed and one sofa bed for 4 guys-
you could book (4) 1 beds each guy could have his own room for $1200
or (2) two beds for $1000.
What happens if 1 or 2 of you guys "get lucky" ?

2. for example Calvin Harris is already on the third tier of tickets pricing went from $30, $50 to $75 when it will sell out is hard to say

3. you could try the website and see who responds http://wetrepublic.com/reservation what they quote.

4/5. if you have edc tickets- I would go to edc all three nights. XS will have a good party on Monday night- see xs on monday.
If you want to do a night time pool party while your there hit Encore beach at Night on Thursday night

I'm with artedm, you definitely don't want to be sleeping two-per-bed in Vegas. Each person should have their own bed at a minimum, and own room preferred.

I reached out to an EBC host, and got a crazy low quote on a lily pad for Fri (diplo)... almost too good to be true, so I'll check back in a month and see where its at...
