Agreed on all counts. Really putting off buying the pre-sale was about principle more than anything. We have a decent amount of disposable cash, but that's because I don't normally pay $145 for something I could have had for $65 without there being any additional value added. At the end of the day I was happy with the decision, so everything works out. And ya, my wife was the definition of rockstar on this trip, I am a lucky guy! She already has me looking at dates for the next Vegas trip!

Love this, I'm anxiously waiting for the rest lol. I'm throwing my boyfriend/fiance a 40th bday party out there in Oct and been trying to plan every little detail to have continuous fun. we party like you & your wife. Ive been in contact w/ Bobby for this, so glad to hear he exceeded your expectations.

I think deep down we will all admit that the only reason we read trip reports is for the sex. After day one I was worried that this was going to be a sex less trip report. And if I wanted to read one of those I would wait on Wynncore's LDW trip report. But you restored my faith in humanity at the end of day two. Well done. Although it was your wife so that doesn't really count.
Edit to add I kid WC I kid.Last edited by EastCoast; 08-27-2015, 02:58 PM.

OK, getting to Day 3 a little quicker than expected. Thanks again for all the comments, these things are fun to write, it’s almost like you are re-living the entire experience. We may go two parts here, Sunday was a busy day! And sorry EC, if it makes you feel better I left some detail out from night 1, come on now, who goes to Vegas as a couple and doesn't have sex, I think it's a Nevada law!
Woke up Sunday morning about 8:30am, said good morning to the wife and told her I was going to go grab some breakfast and make some bets. She went back to sleep, I told her we had to be out of the room by 11:15 (we own a time share, part of the reason we stayed at Elara is they gave us a crazy cheap room in order to let them have 1 hour to pitch us on upgrading our time share) so we can get to the presentation we have scheduled for noon. I grab a quick bite from Earl of Sandwich again, great breakfast sandwiches there so I don’t mind doubling up. I run over to the sports book and throw in a couple baseball parlays. I wander the strip for a few trying to shake last night’s hangover off a bit, then head back to see what progress my wife has made.
It’s about 10:00am at this point, she is jumping outta the shower. I ask how her foot is feeling and she says it hurts, but that it gets better when she’s drinking. This is music to my ears, she has given me the opening I need to ask her if she feels up for pulling off the double! We had already made plans to go to Nightswim at XS Sunday night, but I had figured she may need to rest during the day so I had not scheduled anything else, but as always, I have got a plan ready. I ask her if she wants to have a few drinks this afternoon, she says “of course” so I say “why don’t we try to go catch Zedd at EBC?”. She asks if I think we will have time to go to our presentation, grab lunch, get to EBC and make our way in without standing in line forever. I tell her if she is in for it, I can make it work out. Her response was priceless “Do you think I could check my walking boot at the bell desk?” Immediately I think back to the posts by Maxutilsperusd on the boards about checking liquor at the bell desk and so I tell her “Absolutely” (special thanks Max!). What I had not told her at this point is that this had always been on my radar, and that I had texted Bobby on Friday asking if we wanted to hit EBC on Sunday if he had someone that could help us with the line. He had told me he did and just to text him if we needed help. Wife packs our swim stuff, in a bag, straps on the boot and we are off. Today is coming together beautifully!
We get down to our presentation, I tell the guy first thing that we had committed to and hour and we are on a tight schedule, so cut the small talk and get to what it is you need to present. He is pretty understanding of this, and since we are already owners and they don’t wanna piss us off, they are pretty good about keeping the presentation brief and not pressuring us too much. We are outta there in an hour and headed to Encore. I text Bobby telling him we are going to EBC and to let me know if there is someone we can contact for help. He again is quickly back with me and sends me the name of who to contact for help and a phone number.
We needed to grab a bite, and frankly we really just want to be at EBC a little before Zedd so we weren’t in a rush to get there and knew we wouldn’t be waiting in line. We didn’t really have strong feelings on where to go for lunch, but figured we would probably end up grabbing a quick dinner Sunday night, so we opted for a decent sit down lunch at Society Café in Encore. Food and drink was very good here, both a bit pricey, but it was close to the EBC entrance and we opted for convenience over more walking. While we are eating our EBC host texts me and tells me to text him on arrival, so we are all set, provided the “boot check” works out.
We finished eating and head to the restrooms to change, high class I know, changing clothes in the Encore bathroom stalls! Wife brought a decent sized bag that fits the boot and our other clothes, so we head over to the bell desk to see if we can work this out. As part of this process, I learned something new that might help on future trips. When we hit the bell desk and handed off our bag, the bellman asked if we were checking in or checking out. Thinking quickly on my feet, I figured if I said “checking out” they probably would not ask for a room number, so I quickly responded “checking out”. As I thought, he did not ask for a room number, but he did ask if we would need a cab when we picked the bag up, to which I responded “Absolutely”. He goes on to mark this on our bag and tells me when we come back to pick up the bag, we won’t wait in a cab line, the bellman will walk us straight to the cab! Not sure this has as much value during the day as it might at the end of a night at XS, but certainly something I am keeping tucked away for the future!
We head over to EBC at this point, it’s about 2:45, there is still a decent line of people out front and I text our host. He gets back to me immediately and says he had an emergency come up, but gives me names of two other people to ask for that will be able to take care of me. I ask at the front, get the right person, give a fair shake and we breeze right past the line. Honestly in the past, we have not spent a lot of time at the pool parties. I can tell you that has now changed forever. The Vegas pool party is a truly unique experience. It’s something you really can’t do on near the same level anywhere else in the US. People dancing all over the place midday, splashing around in the pool, especially when you get a nice drop from the DJ, it’s perfectly organized chaos. We grabbed drinks quickly, got in the pool for a bit, my wife even made it up on the platform for a few minutes, and either the alcohol or adrenaline kept her from looking like a complete fool on one foot! Zedd was solid as always, we spent some time back under the gaming pavilion after being in the pool for a bit, it’s a good place to watch from outside the madness for a bit if you wanna chill. We had originally been looking at another trip in January, but we now are going to hold off until pool season starts back up!
We left EBC about 5:30 as Zedd was finishing up, we went back to pick our bag up and as they said they would, the bellman walked us straight past the cab line and into a cab. I walked my wife up to the room to put her down for the nap I am really hoping she wakes up from, it’s our last night!!! Gonna call that the end of Day 3 part 1, part 2 coming soon!

Thanks. It really only works for us so well because we both like the same things in Vegas, and we both have the stamina to keep the party going. Nothing worse than your significant other being tired and making you leave the club 15 minutes after the headliner starts! That said, until you try it, hard to say whether or not its gonna work for you.Originally posted by OmarLittle View PostGreat TR...I'm considering a trip with the wife one day

Day 3, part II—
So I left out an important detail about our exit from EBC. As we got back into Encore (we had to talk our way past security because we didn’t have a room key), my wife tell me she’s not feeling well. This has nothing to do with her foot, and way more to do with the sun and drinking. We walk past a bathroom and she says she needs to go in for a minute. I am not sure what happened in there, I asked if she got sick, she says “no” but still isn’t feeling well. It was hard to be disappointed, I was thrilled with her performance up to this point, and even though I really wanted to hit Nightswim later, I figured this point would come eventually.
I mentioned earlier that we cabbed back to Elara and I put her down to rest. I figured this would be the end of our adventure and even started to think about ways to ask if she would be upset if I went to Nightswim alone. I went down to collect my baseball winnings (hit two parlays, one at 8-1 and one at 3-1!), then back to wandering the strip gambling and grabbing the occasional drink. I am sure you probably think it’s crazy that my wife keeps resting and I keep drinking, but I am much better off to keep going steadily drinking than I am to try and shut down for a few hours and try to start back up. I always mix a few waters in and I stopped off at Bobby’s Burger Palace to get something in my stomach. I had a Crunch Burger and Fries, not bad, not spectacular, but good enough to keep me going. It gets to be about 8:30pm and I get a text from my wife asking where I am. I told her I was over at Cosmo gambling and asked how she was feeling. She says better and wants to know when I am going to head back to the room. I figured if I wanted any chance of getting her up tonight, I better head that way quick, so I quickly cash out and head that way.
I am back up to the room by a few minutes before 9:00pm, I expected to see signs of life after our text messages, but to my dismay, it’s pitch black (great shades in Elara, can make it dark mid-afternoon if you choose to). Now I am wondering why she texted and why I hurried up, then suddenly she manages to hoarsely shout out “hello” from the bedroom. I am thinking well, at least she’s not passed out, I can at least discuss my plans for the evening. I go in and sit on the bed and she says “what time do we need to leave for XS?” WOOOHOOOO!!!! Atta girl, couldn’t be prouder at this point, and since I had already let Bobby know we were coming back, I knew we didn’t have to rush out. I told her we could leave whenever she was ready and if she wanted to rest a little more, that was fine. She decided she was ready to get moving, I ran downstairs to grab her some food while she got ready and the night was beginning to take shape.
We are ready to roll out around 11:00pm, I mentioned maybe trying the “checked bag trick” at Encore, but we decide not to mess with it. We grab a cab and are back off to Encore, we are walking through the casino by about 11:20 and there’s a pretty decent crowd headed toward XS. It’s Ruby Rose’s first night at XS, and it’s Nightswim. I text Bobby to ask if he can help with the line, he immediately is back with me and he helps us find our way in quickly. A quick note on Bobby, he is as amazing as people describe him, and I asked for his help 4 different times over the weekend, but I felt OK about it because I took good care of him with a few handshakes. When I first started reading these forums and saw people saying they tipped their hosts $200-500 for their help with tables I didn’t quite understand why. Guys like Bobby are the reason why, when they do a good job, it feels like money well spent, and I know I’ll be back soon and it’s great knowing I have someone reliable to work with.
We get into the pool area, decide to go ahead and grab a locker for some of our stuff and towels. Looking back we probably could have managed without the locker, but I really didn’t want our phones laying around. This is our first time at Nightswim, I was a little apprehensive about doubling up on XS, but many people had reported that it’s a totally different experience and they are absolutely right. It feels like a totally different club, and the pool vibe at night is a welcome change from the normal nightclub atmosphere. We will schedule all future trips for a Sunday night stay in order to make it back to this event. It’s late enough that the area around the pool is pretty crowded, my wife saw chairs in the water and asked security if we could sit in them. He quickly told her the chairs belonged to the table behind them, but the little white dock looking things were ok to sit on. We quickly threw towels down and jumped in the water right in front of where we had made camp. Ruby Rose came on about 1:15 am, she was about what you would expect, really nothing original of her own to play so mixed up everyone else’s music. The first half was pretty smooth, but as the night went on, things got a bit choppy. She did however draw an interesting crowd, I saw more girl-girl makeout sessions than guy-girl makeout sessions which was interesting and fun. We also saw a couple that I am pretty sure were actually having sex in the pool, on that note we decided to go ahead and hop back on our dock! Ruby Rose played til about 3:30am, the wife and I were both feeling pretty great at this point and she actually looked at me and said she wasn’t ready to go, so we hung for about another half hour before deciding to call it a night. Knowing what the Encore cab line is like we walked through the to the Wynn and caught a cab out in front with no wait. Side note, this only works on Sundays, since Tryst is not open.
We are back in the room around 4:30am, to satisfy some of the comments, we made it a perfect 3 for 3 (although I can only say that because my wife told me it happened on night 1!). Amazing day overall, couldn’t be happier with the way things worked out. A little left to report but this is most of the exciting stuff. I will likely add a wrap up with our final day tomorrow, but it’s flight day. We still had some fun, but no more daylife/nightlife to share. I will try to recap a few things we learned as well. Hope you enjoyed!
