Now before I get started, im not going to promise that I will finish this TR, or manage all the detail, as my memory is pretty bad as it is, then add an English binge drinking mentality and it gets worse.
So setting the scene:
My buddy wins 54,000 dollars on online poker. He hit a Jackpot table on PokerStars, won the table, bang. So for his 30th birthday he wants to go to Las Vegas.
Roster (All UK guys):
Colonel Sanders - Jackpot Winner, 30, addicted to fried chicken, not the healthiest of people.
Me - 30, like to plan and party hard.
T - My Wingman, 27
H - T's brother, 28, big lad, likes his Kebabs and Special Brew
TD - Twin of BD, 29, Lawyer.
BD - Twin of TD, 29, accountant, just split with his wife.
We booked 8 nights over the fight weekend. Coming from the UK its a 10 hour flight so 8 nights isnt as long as it sounds. You need a bit of time to get over the jet lag. We did Tuesday till the Wednesday week after.
Arrived at the Airport at 6:30AM, me and T drove down, I parked, got out the car and saw H and the rest of the boys straight away, they got out of the car all drinking a special brew for breakfast. Golden.
At the airport we all sat around having a few beers and getting a nice English breakfast in before the flight, then started hammering the drinks on the plane. A few whiskeys and little bottles of red later and we got cut off by the staff. We weren't being too rowdy, but I guess they just got sick of bringing us alcohol. Only eventful part of the flight was the scuffle with Colonel Sanders and TD. TD had been berating the Colonel for hours, turning off his TV screen, punching him in the arm, stealing his drinks..... the usual stuff, when we got served this hot pizza calzone thing. TD made a grab for the Colonels pizza, but the Colonel was too quick and slapped TD in the face with the burning hot delicacy, causing quite a savage burn on TD's cheek. Its safe to say the berating stopped there and TC didnt say much for the rest of the flight. Just sat with an ice cube on his face.
We landed after not sleeping a wink and TD was looking a bit worse for wear with his burnt up face. But we all laughed at him and gave zero sympathy, as you do.
Made our way outside after getting the baggage and found our driver from Presidential Limo that I had booked in advance. He was a good lad, did us multiple drops as we were staying in different hotels. T and I were in Harrah's and the rest were all the way down in SLS.
We necked the bottle of fizz in the car, cranked up the tunes and shouted at people from the windows of the limo. Typical British tourist behaviour.
Got to the SLS, dropped the boys off, then to Harrah's. I tipped the driver a few bills then waited in the line for check in. Harrah's was OK I suppose. We chose a cheaper option as its in a great location, next time I go to Vegas I will probably look at the Wynn or something but it was fine.
No Sandwich action happened as it was fight weekend and everywhere was booked out, plus our check in person didnt seem that friendly. Ah well, no biggy we had a high roller deluxe room anyway and it fit purpose.
Quick shower, change into some nice threads and T and I were out for a few beers. Had a look around the casino and dropped into Carnival Court. It was still about 6 or 7 o clock, so it wasnt kicking but it was OK. Had a few beers, a few cocktails and had a laugh with the bartenders. Spoke to a couple from California, they were nice.
We planned to meet the other boys but they were late. So we went for a steak up at Ruth Chris's and then headed back to carnival court. Met the boys at Margaritaville, met a couple from Michigan, and binge drank cocktails for a while. T and I went up to the Rio to Voodoo. The others stayed at the strip and planned to go home. The view up Voodoo at night was fantastic. We really enjoyed it up there and had about 8 JD honeys each. It seemed like there were lots of guys up there with...... hired women though.
Anyway we dropped back to Carnival Court when Voodoo closed and had another few drinks, then Carnival Court closed, so we left. On the way out we got approached by this group of 3 Canadian girls. Spent the next few hours gambling and messing around with them. Real good fun, but they had to leave at 7AM to get on a plane.
Tried to go to sleep. Couldn't. Been awake for about 24 hours so far. Screw it, got up at 9AM, went to meet everyone for a Caesers breakfast buffet.
Met the SLS crew and they recapped on what happened after me and T left. The Colonel stayed out on his own, got a limo around the city, and hit the slots really hard. Spent 2000 dollars in his first night.
Buffet was good. Fried chicken in a cone. Winning.
TBC?
