    Hi everyone

Home ten day since my trip.I will start the report with discussing my choice of hotel which happened to be Circus Circus.
I am a single traveler in my forties with a plan to drink during daylight and ease off during nighttime. I am a not gambler but love the energy and mood in good nightclubs. No interest in stripclubs or hockers, more about them later.
Let's see If I can post this bit before I go on.
    Hotel choice
I got a flight and hotel package back in February with really good flights and I didn't look much into the hotels on offer. On my last trip to Vegas I stayed in the Trump and Hrh. The Trump is a lovely hotel but a terribly boring place,no casino. The Hrh had a lovely atmosphere but the room was tiny.Since I spent less then 5 hours in the room each night"I like a good early breakfast "I thought it would be a good idea to drop down the stars.
Now Circus Circus has good and I would use the phrase unsuitable aspects to it for my type of holliday
Let me explain. The good points are good size rooms, cleaned really well everyday. The unsuitable part is basically the casino /entertainment options.the casino is very much old style low ceilings, smoky, card playing machines on bar tops and packed to overflowing with customers at weekend.
Generally no party atmosphere at all.
Not to put anyone off on the three star option the SLS hotel up the road had what I would have wanted. It has a remodeled casino and a good pool party at W/E and good bars. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from Encore but the pavement is wide and the road is dead level not really a problem
That's all for now I will start the report tomorrow with a little story about hookers and "not hookers"

      Trip report proper
Arrived in Las around 4pm and met a young lad who had come in from Las Angeles to meet up with an Aussie girl he met the previous week at Coachella. On the ride to our hotels he was mightily impressed with the gold shimmering glass facade to his hotel, The Trump. Then I got to Circus Circus. Now the difference between 3 star and 5 star in Vegas is massive and these two hotels emphase this. One hotel is quite and laid back and the other is non stop hectic people people people.
Anyway once checked into room and off down the road to surrender at Encore for the night.Surrender as people know is a club/pool night. The club part is quit basic with a small dance floor in the middle and vip booths on two sides, the dj on the back wall and the forth side opens out to the pool area. The pool area was open access to anyone with vip tables and seating mixed in. The crowd looked fantastic the atmosphere was just as good and the djs were excellent.
This was an industry night for a Wed and with so many people asking for advice on where to go on a Wed I could not have been more impressed with my first night in Vegas.
I think I wad charged 40 to get in,no lines or hassle, got back to hotel for 5 ish and with a beer before bed.
Made it down to the Wynne for breakfast at 11 next morning, I don't think I slept at all that night
