Let me start off by saying I really wish there were more trip reports on here being posted constantly. I need to get my fill by all of you. So here I am, just returned from a weekend trip with a group of couples. If you read my last TR last June, I went through a tough time. Bounced back and came back to Vegas for some revenge and closure.

2/27/15
Flight took off from San Antonio at 8am. Took a Stretch Escalade for 8 people to the Las Vegas sign and dropped off at NYNY. This was our first time going through Presidential and it was perfect as I saw on TripAdvisor. Our drivers name was Ty. He was professional, always struck up a conversation and provided insight on some Vegas dos and don'ts. Plus we downed 2 bottles of champagne like nothing. Buzz created. Arrived to NYNY and left baggage with front desk and got our group of 8 to get some shots at Pour 24. Then we headed down to Planet Hollywood to eat at Twin Peaks and drink a whole bunch of beer. I must say the Twin Peaks was overall way better than the one in San Antonio. We headed into Planet Hollywood to gamble some then took our party to Monte Carlo to check out Minus 5 Degree Bar. We spent a good 40 minutes in there buying shots and drinks and hanging out. This is our 2nd time here. My wife and I only went again because we had 2 newbie couples that wanted to experience it so we said what the hey. It isn't big and not something too exciting so that will be our last time going. Walked out when we were done and booom, buzz again created. lol headed to Walgreens to get some Pedialyte and mixers for some vodkas we bought. Our plan was to hit Drais this Friday night GA and pregame hard before. We got our rooms and went for nap. Woke up at 8pm, went down to grab pizza downstairs, and started to get ready. We all met up in 1 room and started pregaming. Skyy, Goose, pineapple juice, sweet n sour mix, red bulls, and monsters were helping us get loose. I texted Chris Traer to confirm an arranged walk in and we were set. We went down to grab a taxi and head to Drais.

Next: Nightlife, outer body experience/roofied. (Ok, really, i blacked out. lol More on that later and how it got to that point.)

Day 1: Nightlife

We arrived at The Cromwell and it is very nice. Its my first time here and to Drais, and I'm just in awe at how nice it looked inside. I met up with Chris Traer and he acted like he knew me for years. My group was impressed as Ive been on these forums for 2 years soaking up information and learning how things work. They didn't know what to say as we skipped the line and got all 8 of us walked in. Made us feel very VIP when were not close to that by any means. He walked us around the club to the bars and was very cool when talking. I gave him a handshake and we split ways. I recommend Chris and don't have enough words to say about the guy. So I started to soak in Drais. Very nice club. We stood by the right bar the entire night and we had a blast. Drais is beautiful. Layout is spacious, excellent walkways. I really liked that the security guys and workers weren't dicks. My group stood in front of the stripper poles and they didn't tell us anything all night. I asked if the girls could dance on the poles and they said "yes definitely." Drais is super badass in my book compared to Hak and Marquee.

Anyways, Chris walked us in, and we head straight to the bar. 2 vodka/redbull for me. down those, and back to bar for 2 more. At this point, some guy that has BS called me over and says "dude do you want a shot?" I was reluctant so i asked "What is it?" He turns the bottle to me and its Fireball. I said "Hell yeah brother!" So there he was, pouring a shot into my mouth from the bottle on his elevated table booth. lol Went back to my group and they were like "wtf who is that!" I say " fuck man i don't know but he's cool as shit!" To that guy, if you're on the forums, thank you dude. that was a nice gesture and much appreciated. So i went and got 2 more vodka/redbulls after that. By this time, Im jumping to Borgeous's music, dancing, fist pumping my colored glowsticks they passed out. Having a ball. About 1.5 hours in, my group says they are gonna leave and want to go to Centrifuge to hangout and see if our previous bartender Chris was there. Knowing I was drunk as shit, I said lets go. This is where shit gets blurry. I walk out of Drais and we start taking selfies by the restroom and making lots of noise caused were all having a blast. We head outside and catch a taxi. I don't remember this part but I ended up taking a selfie with the cab driver. lol I never like taking selfies so this tells you how drunk I was. I don't remember the cab drive there, but we arrive and walk to centrifuge. I don't remember walking to Centrifuge. lol

While I was there, I was with my group when this young black guy came up to my friend and said that he knew him. (I hope no one gets offended by that, but theres a reason why I had to mention he was a young black man. lol) Now everything Im gonna say from here on out is 3rd party. haha I don't remember anything at this point, but I was walking and talking apparently. I went up to the black guy and said "TYLER THE CREATOR!!!!!!" He looked just like him! Ended up being that he is from San Antonio too and going to school at UNLV. We talked about school then that we were both going to EDC. I added him on Facebook right then and there so we can meet up. He bought all of us a shot of id not know what. At this point, I shouldn't have taken it but I didn't realize it at the moment. lol We took some pics and apparently I had another drink in my hand. Gahlllyyyy Vegas I tell you!

Not sure what tim it was but as we left, I was told that I hip thrusted a girl that was sitting on the exit stairs and her dude was trying to pick her up. haha And he laughed and joined in! lol Then I was told I walked to the food court at MGM and back to NYNY. Apparently the NYNY escalators were down and we had to walk down all those steps. I had no recollection of walking anywhere in NYNY. lol I was told I walked on my own, never fell, and talked well not sluggish. this is amazing to me that I have no idea what I was doing. I remember waking up at 11am with no headache the next day in bed not knowing how I fell asleep, how I got undressed, or how I got to the room. Wife tells me I was throwing up mildly in the sink and telling her how much I love her. lol FUCKING VEGAS MAN!!!

Day 2:

After showering I chugged a whole bottle of grape pedialyte, which I forgot to do the night before and headed out with my wife to Hash House A Go Go. This was going to be our first time thereafter hearing a lot about it. Our other friends were already there so while we were waiting, they were already eating. I went over to see how it was at their table and they offered me a waffle. I bit into it and nearly threw up in my mouth. Not because it tasted bad, but because my body wasn't ready to swallow anything at the moment. Again, I didn't have a headache, but was super nauseas and twisted stomach from the night before. We get our table and order up pancakes. Huge portions! I loved it here. I was able to eat food and drink a shit load of water. I recommend this place and I will be coming back here for sure when Im in town.

After that, we had a pretty uneventful day. Headed over to M&M store to buy our son some gifts and headed back to NYNY as I really needed som rest and more pedialyte. I had setup a walking with Bobby Yeadon for Guetta on his Saturday night so I wanted to be refreshed and ready to go. Woke up at 8pm and started getting ready. Went down and hit the craps table. Other people in the group decided to hit up Coyote Ugly for a pregame. Me and another guy in the group stayed back to play craps. An hour went by and we broke even so we went to join them. Upon arrival, one of the couples is smashed already. Too many shots. It was about 1030pm now and Im thinking lets round up the troops and head to XS, but the others in the group says the other couple is too messed up to go and that we should all remain together and just take it easier tonight. Well fuck, Im not one to ditch the group so I obliged. Ended up staying at CU to babysit a bit. Sorry to Bobby that we weren't able to make it through. I have to say, I bothered him a lot weeks before our arrival with tons of questions. He's very straightforward and is outstanding. Its no wonder why everyone recommends him on here. So I will too. He's your man for XS/Tryst.

Coyote Ugly played some great music though. Lots of EDM. They were trying to get the crowd hype and it just wasn't working. They sprayed water at you if you were standing still. My wife and another girl went up on stage and danced for a bit and got free shots so they enjoyed it. The girls working there were super hot and super fit. However, it lacks anything on what the movie was based off of. I wouldn't visit here again as its nothing too crazy but got it over with at least once now. We headed to Luxor to gamble for a bit. Ended up losing $200 on craps and $40 on blackjack. Headed back to NYNY to play craps there again and seemingly end the night. Gained $100 back and hit the sheets about 4am. Still hurting from the night before. Like I said, pretty uneventful.

Next: More restaurants, Casino Royale, Carrot Top, final night in LV.

Day 3:

Woke up around 11 and text my group to see what they want to go eat. End up 1 group woke up at 8 and went off to do their own thing and the other group is still asleep. Side note: I learned on this trip that the more couples you go with to Vegas, the harder it is to keep everyone together since each couple wants to do their own thing. I have no problem with it though. I texted the other couple and we decide to hit up Guy Fieris place. Along the bus ride I decide lets hit up someplace else cause I remember the whole group saying they all wanted Guy Fieris, so i decided to wait on it. I looked up best places to eat in Vegas on google and come across a place called Holsteins. Ended up going to Cosmo. Now, this may havebeen the best tasting burger I have ever had! I got the Gold Standard and it was glorious. Also got the Lobster Truffle Mac n Cheese, amazing!. Also got a vanilla shake lol. Lunch= $70. Worth it.

After lunch, I told my buddy lets go to Casino Royale since they usually have $3-$5 craps and cheap beer. We head over and start playing. Ends up were on a hot table with an older man throwing for about 20 minutes. Cashed in $100, walk out with $250. I head back to NYNY since one of the couples has a spa package reserved. We decide to see a show tonight. 2 couples wanted to see Jabbawockeez and another couple and I want to see Carrot Top. We get to Luxor box office and it $90 for Jabbawockeez tix! na ill pass. I found Carrot Top tix on mycheapvegas.com for $45 each all in. Ive used mycheapvegas.com for previous trips on show tickets as well so we did it that way. I let the other couple spend that large amount for breakdancing, so I felt good about Carrot Top. I read tons of Tripadvisor and Yelp reviews on Carrot Top so thats why we went there.

Let me say that I never liked Carrot Top. I never ever saw his stand up, I just never like his face. lol But after reading reviews, I figured $45 per ticket is worth a shot. Dude, this show is hilarious. Its 90 minutes long and he uses tons of props. The laughs are at least every 10 seconds. I dont think I would go back since I can cross it off my bucket list, but if youve never seen his show before, I recommend it once. And use the website since they have 40% off tickets for his show lol.

After the show, I got us guestlisted for Hakkasan with Rev Run and Dj Ruckus. Some of the girls wanted to dance and it was hip hop night, so I figured we'd be set on our last night. Went to eat at Gonzalez Y Gonzalez at NYNY. It was horrible. Service was bad, food was nasty. (Gotta remember Im hispanic and from San Antonio, I love me some tex-mex food.) More on this later. I dont recommend this place what so ever. Stay away. Before heading up to the room, I went to lay $100 on craps and had a guy throw nothing but 7's. Money gone. Head up to room to change and get ready. Get a text saying, "eh lets just gamble all night tonight. No club." My face: I come to Vegas to party, gamble yes, but usually later in the night or early in the morning. Soooo, I change into casual clothes and head down with all 8 of us at the electronic craps machine. This is where stuff gets crazy.

We spend a total of 4 hours at this machine. Crazy right. Well, it turns out we hit a string of good luck. Nevermind my comments about waiting to gamble and coming to party. lol Some older man was throwing for about 40 minutes. The machine kept winning! We kept pressing and betting higher odds. Halfway in, I start to get this feeling that Im having a damn heartattack. Im 28 btw. While we were making money, I was already thinking here i am in Vegas, about to fuck up everyone trip because im gonna end up in the hospital having my chest cut open. lol Ends up I was just having heartburn. Never had it before. Kept burping up the food from Gonzalez Y Gonzalez. So yea, never again will I go there. Anyways, after all is said and done, my buddy cashes out at $300 after putting $20 in. Other buddy cashes out $980 after putting $100 in, and we cash out at $600 after putting $100 in.

The machine ended up "resetting" which made an attended come by to restart the machine. Thats when 7s started rolling. lol thats when we left. So yea, I didnt mind skipping Hak for winning this kind of money. lol More winnings tomorrow. Everyone headed up since we had to be in the front for th limo pickup at 830am. It was 330am now. Wife and I head to elevator, get to 18th floor, then look at each other and say "wanna do another $100?" lmao pushed the button back down to the casino floor. lol Cashed in $100 and after 1 hour only cashed out at $150. Gotta love when your wife is down like that. haha Went up to bed and that was the last night in Vegas.
