I always like your reports - thanks for this.

I never understood why people drink on the flight in, though. I prefer to land, grab some booze from a supermarket/bottle shop and then start drinking when back in the hotel.

(Note: I got a blood clot flying home to Australia from LV a couple years back because the alcohol screwed around with my bloodstream - so be careful on long haul flights!)

How was the Boom Box Room? There's been times that minimums have been super high for the main room, so I've always wondered if it's better there than an outside table.

How was the Boom Box Room? There's been times that minimums have been super high for the main room, so I've always wondered if it's better there than an outside table.

We originally wanted the Boombox room to avoid house music, but because Wyclef was performing that night they reversed the rooms. So the Boombox room was playing house. We didn't check it out, but I got quoted 1-1.5k for the boombox room. For us I prefer to have the room with the right music vs location. Even if I had the best seats in the house, but the music was not to my liking it just ruins my buzz for me.

Happened to us at Hakkasan. Had a great table upstairs overlooking the main floor, but it was house music, and we ended up going to the hip hop room and spent most of our time there, but had to keep going back to our table to get drinks.
