Intro:
Broker #1: 30 yr old, party starter and Vegas Vet
Broker #2: 32 yr old, bachelor and ultimate people person
Rock: 30 and tells it like it is.
Y: 32 yr old, cool laid back guy
Me: 32 , the planner
I've been checking out all these awesome TR’s and thought I would try my hand at writing up my last trip to Vegas. Since this was MDW 2013, bear with me as the details may not be quite as crisp. I met the bachelor a few months earlier through #1. Most in my circle actually refer to them as #1 & #2 mainly because they have the same first name, same job and they both have the same bold personality. When they get together it can be overload. So #1 enlists me to help plan the trip. Once I hear that its going down MDW , I immediately begin to save up some extra cash and advise everyone else to do the same.
Thursday May 23rd
I wake up excited. Bags packed and ready to go. I have the unfortunate experience of flying Southwest. Being herded like cattle into the line. But at least my bag flies free right, eh. It’s a “direct” flight that goes from BWI to LAS with a stop in Norfolk, VA. Doesn't make sense to me but it does offer me the opportunity to move to an exit row seat and stretch out my legs. I think to myself on the way back I’m going to need to pay to get back to this exit row because fitting my 6’4 frame in the regular coach seats is not going to work. Once the new folks board at the Norfolk stop (feeling like I’m on the Greyhound of the skies) we’re off again. Finally on the way to Vegas and this old couple is sitting next to me. They let me know they have tons of free drink coupons for the plane ride and some are about to expire. So the lady hands me 3. I'm caught off guard, not expecting the festivities to kick off this early. I offer to buy them some snacks or something but they decline. I already start to get the feeling this weekend is going to be awesome. The stewardess comes back to take the order and they each get two rum and cokes, so I said why not, bring 2 for me as well. We chat it up for hours, talking about various things mostly Vegas related. We order two more rounds (I got the last one). Next thing I know we are landing and I’m walking off the plane with a slight buzz.
I grab my bag and hop the shuttle towards Caesars. I have my ear buds in with special playlist I put together just for the trip. The closer I get to Caesars the more my excitement grows for the debauchery that is sure to ensue. I arrive and meet up with #1 and Y. They have everything set up with the bachelor, #1 and Y in the suite and then 8 of us split up in four 2 queen bed rooms, all on the same floor. (now this is where my memory fails me because I don’t remember the exact name of the suite). The suite sets up as a nice home base just down the hall. My roommate for the trip is the bachelors cousin. (Married guy, doesn't drink or party but nice guy) I get a key for my room and the home base, drop my bags at my room then go meet up with #1 and Y at the suite. Soon as I open the door #1 has a glass of Macallan 18 waiting for me. AWESOME. I grab a notebook and get right to it. I write ….THURS FRI SAT SUN … "what do we have fellas?" Since it was Thursday we just left that blank as everyone was just getting in we didn't want to plan nothing for sure. Friday, the bachelor wanted a poker night and entertainment in the suite. SAT: Dinner, Club & Strip Club. Sunday: Pool Party and Massage. Good enough we can fill in the rest as we go. #1 already had a contact for Sapphire, I had a couple of options for the fellas to vote on for clubs. And we were in the process of chatting with Encore about a Cabana. If all else failed we would purchase tickets to Rehab for the Diddy party. Good enough for now.
It’s about 5 pm when the bachelor arrives in the limo we sent for him. As soon as he steps in the door, a glass of 18 is awaiting him as well. But #2 couldn't just take the drink and drink it. He wants the 4 of us to drink it, after we do the Spartan chant from 300, tap the glass on the table and then take it to the head. From here on out he yells "SPARTANS!!!!!" and everyone knows its time for a shot. (HEAR WE GO) After downing the 18, we head down stairs to meet up with some of the other guys to make sure they get settled in. At this point there are 6 out of the 12. So we decide to go grab a bite at the outdoor bar. (Again memory failing me) But it was a bar right outside, I’m not sure if it was connected to Central bar or not. Anyway the hostess seats us at a spot next to two very beautiful ladies chowing down on king crab legs. So of course the brokers (#1 & #2) go to chat them up. I can’t tell exactly what they are saying but they are definitely trying to drop some charm on them. They come back to the table buzzing. Come to fine out one of those beautiful ladies at the table is Meagan Good. (FYI: I never recognize celebs) #2 basically is hyped because he thinks his charm worked after he dropped sensual some line on her about the way she eats crab legs. He then calls the waitress over and ask her what are Meagan and her friend drinking. Strawberry Mojitos. Great, he wants to send them a round on him. When the waitress walks away I proceed to inform #2 that she is a married AND a holy roller. He looks shocked and screams out “WHY DIDN’T YAL TELL ME”. The waitress then comes back to the table to inform him that Meagan said “no thanks, I’m a married woman and I can buy my own drinks” . We all erupt in laughter. #2 goes to the table to apologize for any misunderstanding. And she was really cool about it. A Spartan call in honor of Mrs. Good.
We end up just sitting out there eating, drinking and shooting the shit until about 8 when finally two of the other guys (Rock + some other dude I don’t know and can’t remember) shows up. (8/12 now). We find out that there were some nasty thunderstorms crossing the east coast so the rest of the guys flights were canceled and they had to re-book. (Glad I came in the morning). We get them squared away but of course they are hungry now. So we post up at Central on the Lobby side for a bit while they eat burgers and we decide what to do tonight. #1 then spots some chick in the lobby that he “knows”. She is a tall, pretty, and dressed NICE. She is walking around the lobby with purpose but no distinct destination. Rock, fresh from eating his burger, thinks she is lost. (Rock’s first time to Vegas). I informed him that she is a “working” girl. He is in disbelief. That led to a little game of “Is she a working girl”? After a couple rounds I think he picked on it. #1 then says he wants to get that familiar working girl for #2. (as he can vouch for her skills) I’m not a big fan of working girls (or strip clubs for that matter) but I agree to chip in. So #1 goes to gets his familiar muse to come over and basically gets to how much…. $500… Rock, again in disbelief, shouts “BULLSH*T” and that begins negotiations (in the middle of the lobby no less).
ROCK: 200!
WG: 500!!
ROCK: 250!!!
WG: 500!!!!
ROCK: 350!!!!!
WG: 500!!!!!!
So at this point they were getting a bit loud and I had to settle things down. Rock still didn't think 500 was worth it. The WG replies “I will suck him, f*ck him & make him nut like no one ever has”. Sounded like a good sales pitch to me and #1 vouched for her skills so we went up to the suite, stashed the valuables in the safe and let WG and #2 do the damn thing.
Rock, #1 and I decided to cab it to a Liquor store to stock up on bottles and cigars. We were gone for about an hour but when we came back to the suite they were still going at it. I guess he was getting our money’s worth. Most of the group was pouring drinks and about to head down to the casino when WG/#2 walk out, #2 is cheesing from ear to ear. WG hangs for a bit, gets a drink and then rolls out. We ended up not going to a club after all. Another Spartan call from #2 and then we went to gamble. Mostly just casino hopped until 4am (Caesars, Flamingo & Mirage) and taught the noobs some of the gambling etiquette. I actually ended the night up 200 bucks.
(I see why everyone says it takes so long to write now, trying to make sure I get all the details in.)
