VEGAS alone?

I have been perusing all the threads for advice on Vegas alone and nothing really noteable...

I am a 40 year old guy and I havent been in years so I dont know where to start. Looking for advice on 30 yrs and up bars/clubs?

DCG! Las Vegas is the best place to enjoy your lonely trip. There are many things to do. There are very cheap hotels. You can spend your time in different pools. You can use taxi ride. You can go to bars and enjoy cheapest alcohol. I am sure you will find a great trip there.

I was in Vegas recently with some colleagues for a conference. However, I chose to stay at a hotel different from theirs because I wanted to be alone. Vegas can be a lot of fun solo. I'm also around the same age as you. Some things I like to do:

1. Go to a club. I usually go in, stay for 30 minutes, then ask myself, "What am I doing here?" Then I leave.
2. Play blackjack. Find the cheap $5 tables and hang out. Make friends with your neighbor.
3. Go to the dueling piano bars. There you'll meet plenty of people your age.
4. Hang out in downtown area.
5. Drink at a bar. I love finding a spot at a bar and talking to the bartender and the people sitting next to me.
