Better late than ever, but I have to post because my bachelorette party was sooo amazing!
The cast: Myself (the bride-to-be) and 14 of my closest girlfriends, who I have to say are the sweetest, most generous and caring girls I could ever imagine!
When: May 31-June 3, 2013 (I think)
Friday: We got to the airport (Oakland) at 6am and waited for the bar to open so that we could start the trip off right! After a few free drinks on our first flight out, which were free thanks to my “Bride” tank (girls, definitely take advantage!), as the plane landed for our layover, my name got called overhead and I was asked to come to the front of the plane. “Shoot, what did I do? Am I too drunk?” was all I could think….so I made my way to the front, and prior to the passengers who were changing planes got off, the flight attendant presented me with a bottle of champagne and congratulated me in front of the plane. Wow, truly amazing! Apparently a Southwest staff member had noticed I was a bride and put a call in for the flight attendants to give me a bottle, so nice!
Anyways, arrive in Vegas and head to Palazzo to check in. Give a $60 sandwich to get upgraded to bigger rooms (we had only booked their lowest room with hopes we could get upgraded) and connecting suites (since we had 3 rooms reserved), and LUCKILY it worked, even with the manager there. We then head to grab a quick bite and hit some slots while we wait on the other 12 girls to come in. Once the other girls arrive we meet at the room, and they had been sweet enough to decorate my bed and room, and provide me with all of the Bachelorette attire for the weekend. We have a few hours until we want to head out for the night, so we start pre-gaming while we get ready (you know it takes girls 2+ hours to get ready in Vegas).

My girl Teresa made all of the plans for the weekend, connecting with a few of the promoters she has worked with numerous times, so that night we were off to Light (which had just opened the week before). Given our group size, we decided to get a party bus to get us down the strip. Pole dancing and more drinking ensued while we made our way in traffic, to finally arrive at Mandalay Bay. Teresa’s friend walked us in to our comp’d table, and the fun continued. Light was truly amazing, probably the coolest club I have ever been in. We lucked out and got placed next to a fun Bachelor party, and the single girls had fun mixing with the guys, while us taken girls made friends with the taken guys. Around 1-2am, Teresa gets a text from one of the pro hockey players she is friends with and having just lost in playoffs most of the team is partying at XS, so they invited our group to come join. We hold up Becky as we head out of Light and grab a limo to go to XS. Once we get to XS, it is packed (of course), but one of the hosts walks us over to our group. More drinking ensues, salsa dancing (one of the guys wanted to teach some of the girls to EDM, interesting), and some time for some of the girls on one of the stripper poles. Once the club closes, some of the girls head back to the guys’ penthouse for added partying, I opt out as I know I have a long weekend ahead of me and want to be refreshed for Encore Beach the next day. The girls that chose to go get back to the rooms around 6-7, and get an hour or so of sleep before we all start getting ready for Encore Beach.
Saturday: A group of guys we know from home happen to be in town at the same time for a bachelor party, and were staying at Venetian, so we decide to all split a limo to head over to Encore Beach, where they were getting a Lily Pad and invited us to join. After a few minutes getting our Lily Pad ready, we are walked to the pad and the drinking starts again. Bottles are flowing as we all start recovering from our hangovers and lack of sleep to enjoy. This was my first time at Encore Beach, and won’t be the last, so much fun! I really don’t remember who was djing that day, but he was on, and the girls were all feeling good. Some of the single girls joined a bachelor party from Tennessee, and made friends dancing the day away. I stayed with the other married girls and we made our own fun back near the pad. Our plan was a nice dinner before heading to 1OAK, where we had a table that night. I wish I could remember where we ate because it ended up being horrible, but I guess it’s good that that seemed like such a small facet of the trip. While at dinner, Teresa gets a text for us to head to Marquee, where our guy friends from town are getting a table, as is the group of Tennessee guys we met earlier, and the team we partied with at XS. So we decide why not, and head to Marquee…bad move. Marquee is packed because Kascade is performing (who was amazing!) and there isn’t room for us (since we have such a big group) at any of the 3 tables we were invited to. After about an hour of circling around we finally decide to just make our own fun and we start getting shots with some of our guy friends, and making our own little dance party over in a more remote area. At some point one of our guy friends ends up getting in a fight and gets kicked out, and we decide to go somewhere else. After leaving, we end up spending another 2 hours or so just drinking and hanging out in the casino and one of the bars in Cosmo. At this point most of the girls already bailed because they were exhausted from the day in the sun and their feet hurt.

Sunday: Teresa’s friend texts that morning to invite us to join her at Daylight where she has a daybed. We had plans to go to Tao Beach that day, but gladly accepted given that Daylight had just opened. We met her friend at Daylight around 11, and one comp'd daybed turned in to two for our group, with a couple of free bottles. We were down in size that day to I think 12, which was a little more manageable. Daylight was pretty slow until maybe 2, then it picked up a little bit, but not much. There wasn’t a big name performing that day, so it seemed to be a little more mellow, which we actually enjoyed after our already busy visit. Alcohol was still flowing and one of the girls got in a break dance competition with a guy (absolutely hilarious), while I made friends with the one other person dancing. Around 5 we decide to head back to eat and start getting ready for Hakassan with Teresa’s friend, where she had a comp’d bottle in the Ling Ling room. We ate at the burger place in Palazzo, which was pretty dang good after a few days of drinking endlessly. Nothing like a bacon burger, followed by a good IPA, awww. Anyways, we head to MGM around 10 or so to meet Teresa’s friend. We take some shots, and most of the girls are pretty tired from the days we have already had, so only maybe 4 of us our up dancing. An obnoxious group of 50-something men, who are way too drunk, get the table next to us, and it doesn’t take long before we all decide it’s time to head to the main room, especially because Calvin Harris was about to go on. When we are about to leave, one of Teresa’s other friends offers up a table right near Calvin; an older guy, who is a regular at the club, has a 10k table minimum with his girlfriend, and they can’t drink that much, so when he heard there was a bachelorette party, he invited us to join, so nice! Once we get to the table, the couple is super welcoming, offering up champagne and whatever we would like. The girlfriend said to me “I am so happy for you, this is your special weekend, so please, what can I order for you, I want you to have whatever you want”….geez, so amazing, how the heck did we luck out? No strings with this couple either, just genuine, nice people, so we all enjoy getting wasted with them while we dance to Calvin the rest of the night.

All in all, I don’t think I could duplicate our trip…everything seemed to fit in to place so perfectly, and the girls were absolutely amazing, as were all of the people we shared our time with. I have to say, I am a total planner, so I was on the forums here nonstop the weeks leading up to the trip, seeking advice and connecting with promoters, but ultimately, all of the places we went were completely unplanned until the day they happened, and this is how I want all of my future trips to be!
