My wife and I got married on Saturday, August 31 in York Beach, Maine. It was awesome – perfect day, great friends, excellent party, killer band, totally awesome! On Sunday we had a mimosa brunch before heading down to Boston for the night. We met up with some friends for a little bar hopping before crashing in preparation for our Vegas Minimoon!

Monday, September 2: On Monday afternoon, we headed to BOS for our flight to Vegas! We got a few drinks on the plane and had an easy trip. Once we landed, we took a cab to Cosmopolitan and checked in. I have a guy that works the desk that I try to always go to and he hooked up a nice 1 bedroom suite for a small sandwich. Got up to the room, which was really nice, and started getting ready for dinner. We had a dinner reservations at STK. It was the night of their “Hampton’s White Party” so there were some New England themed specials on the menu – which was fun coming from our New England Wedding. Being Monday, we also took advantage of Magnum Monday with a Veuve Clicquot magnum. My favorite food item was the truffle beef tartare – seriously the best thing ever.

After Dinner we headed to Marquee to have a few drinks and check out Sander van Doorn and W&W. Marquee was as awesome as ever, but we didn’t stay too long. My buddy hit us up to let us know that they had a table at XS for Afrojack and David Guetta, so we headed over to Encore. XS was cracking as usual and the table was in a prime location and Afrojack was making the party happen. We didn’t stay out too late and headed back to the Cosmo at 1:00 or 2:00 AM.
Tuesday, September 3: We woke up around 9:00 AM, popped open a bottle of champagne and hung out for a bit before heading down to the Boulevard Pool.

Once at the pool, we got a few mimosas and just hung out in the sun for a couple hours. Being a Tuesday, it was pretty quiet, so we decided to head over to Tao Beach to see if there was a bit more action. Tao Beach was also pretty quiet, but there was some music going, the pitchers of frozen drinks were flowing, and there were a handful of cool people around.

We met a group of 3 Canadians who were awesome and ended up going to their suite at Venetian for more drinks after Tao Beach. We decided to get a table at 1OAK with a B1G1 (or maybe it was B1G2, I don’t remember) with the Canadians and a couple other people we met. Got ready for 1OAK and headed over to rage – it was a crazy epic night for sure!

Wednesday, September 4: We were supposed to check out and fly home, but we were so brutally hung over that we extended by a night and pushed the flight. We ended up ordering room service (twice) and watching movies, relaxing, and sleeping all day. Ugh.
Thursday, September 5: With the hangover gone, we packed up and got ready to head home. We hit China Poblano for the “When Monkey’s Fly” – my favorite dish there. Then we jumped over to Holstein’s to split a Billionaire Burger and the Red Velvet bamboozled milkshake. Both were amazing, of course. Went back to the room to get bags, check out, and head to airport. Overall, a pretty nice end to a week long vacation and wedding and a great way to start off our brand new marriage!
