Crazy Fight Weekend

I usually go to Vegas with my girlfriend, but finally I convinced my friends to book this trip. One hasn’t been at all, and the rest have only gone before they were 21 on “family trips” (DOESN’T COUNT!) I planned an epic weekend. We got rooms at the Luxor.

These are the results:

FRIDAY NIGHT – ABOVE AND BEYOND - XS:

We had been partying hard since Denver, Colorado on our layover, and for another 5 hours in the room after we got there. My girlfriend arrived at 10pm, completing our group of 7 (5 guys, 2 girls). I get her to our room, and then go down the hall to the “party” spa suite. We start pregaming hard waiting for her to get ready.

We go outside and jump into a Lincoln Navigator, and make our way to Encore. I’ve been to XS three times now, and each time the entrance is in a different spot. Got in with no line at all at 11:30pm, and did a few laps to check out the place. We all get drinks and head to the dance floor because Above and Beyond is about to come on.

It was WILD, all I remember is going crazy, awesome lasers and ribbon confetti and lots of cryo blasts. The good part was it wasn’t as packed as I thought it would be, and there was plenty of room on the dance floor to get crazy.

Eventually we all assemble in the outside area of XS. We stay for a little more, and decide to go back to the hotel to regroup and gamble. We piled into an Escalade and headed back to Luxor. Partied a little more in the suite, then decided to walk over to Mandalay Bay to try our luck. I was hanging in there at a roulette table for a while, but then my luck ran out and I was out. It was probably 7 or 8am at this point, and me and the girlfriend decided to catch some ZZZ’s while the rest of the group decided they wanted to walk the strip.

**UP NEXT: SATURDAY: AFROJACK @ EBC – A-TRAK @ LIGHT**

Woke up after two hours sleep, College football was on and I needed to get going. Called my buddies to see where they ended up, and they are at La Salsa Cantina drinking champagne at 10am and one is lost gambling and won’t answer the phone. WTF. I decide to place a few bets then head out walking the strip to make sure they find their way back (we have to go to Encore Beach!)

I’m walking the strip enjoying the sunlight, but it is hot as balls. The taco guys won’t answer their phone, and the one “lost gambling” is actually back at their room but doesn’t have a room key. Perfect.

Eventually they call me, saying they found him passed out leaning on their door and they are back at the room. I had been pushing this pool party hard and it looked like they weren’t going to make it…or so I thought.

Its almost noon, and I’m just back in my room watching some college football. My big parlay is starting to take shape…got a bunch of huge leads. I decide to make one last attempt at EBC, and knock on their door down the hall and rally everyone to get their bathing suits on. It works! We’re off to EBC.

Since it was late I figured there would be a long wait, but nope we are in within minutes. The place was jammed and people everywhere. Used a veteran move to get beers from the “ULTRA” bar in the back by the bathrooms with zero line vs. a huge line at the regular bar.

We post up in a spot near the pool and are definitely enjoying the scenery and the pole/shower in the middle. After initially being against it, they ended up loving the pool party. I had tried to talk them into a lilypad or a beach couch with no success but now they want one of course. We all had a great time at EBC, Afrojack played a good set for the pool crowd (the opener Bobby Burns was pretty good too). As usual, the cab line outside of EBC was NOT MOVING. Some guys tipped to cut the cab line right in front of me but I know whats up. The group behind me unleashed a vicious verbal assault on the poor cab attendant guy LOL.

Johnny Manziel spoiled my huge parlay with a last minute touchdown vs. Alabama. Doh.

**UP NEXT: A-TRAK @ LIGHT – SUNDAY – TIESTO @ HAKKASAN**

Ended up back at the Luxor at 7pm, and my gf and I met up with the couple who skipped EBC for some food in the Luxor food court. They had the pizza, I needed some McD’s. Apparently the others had the same idea because they wandered through a few minutes later.

Finally we all got ready and started walking to Mandalay Bay, it was our big night at Light. Noah set us up with a mezz table. I had been hyping Light up to my friends as the best club ever, and it didn’t disappoint. Since they weren’t convinced about the bottle service, I agreed to take care of most of it so they could get the experience. (It was worth every cent)

We got 3 bottles of Goose and got the party going. A-Trak came on and dropped one of the sickest sets ever, mixing EDM to hiphop and everything in between.

We were raging so hard up against the railing overlooking the club, and I turned around to see an EMPTY TABLE behind me.

Somehow during his set the last two of our bottles, all of our waters, a pack of gum, and a girls sandals got taken from our table. I called over security and he ended up recovering one of our bottles from another tables ice bucket (wtf).

We got moved to a Tier 1 table, as the place started to thin out. We had a little left in the bottle and were determined to kill it which we did. A manager came over and took care of me with a special gift..making me an even happier customer!

If you haven’t seen the Light, make it a point on your next trip. A+ club, A+ service, A+ host (noah), can’t wait to go back specifically for this.

Went back to the hotel, for some gambling. Two friends decide to hit up the Rhino, and I set them up with the free limo. One of my friends got lost, calls me saying “im at the hotel!” …he meant The Hotel Mandalay Bay….hahaha recover him, and then I say me and the gf are going to bed, but he wants to wander solo still…somehow he ends up in the mandalay bay pool complex, passed out in a cabana, woken up by security doing a pre-check before they open….. classic. One of the kids at the Rhino had his credit card shut down by the company because they thought it was being used fraudently…nope just someone who fell in love with a sexy Cuban girl getting the VIP lap dances….

It was 8am at this point, NFL Sunday was starting in two hours, so I got my bets in at the sports book before attempting some sleep.

**UP NEXT – TIESTO @ HAKKASAN**

Woke up after about two hours of sleep, and put the TV on to some NFL Sunday football, just as I planned. The other girl in our group won 5 tickets to Calvin Harris at Wet Republic on twitter, and Noah had invited us to Daylight. I really wanted to check out Daylight (only been to Eclipse), but we were struggling so hard. I went down the hall to check on the rest of the group in the suite.

They are sleeping except one (the sleeping at mandalay bay one), and he is drinking a Strawberita 22oz can while rockin out to his iPhone on speakerphone…keepin the party goin!!! Somehow I rally one more victim, and we walk the strip towards Planet Hollywood where I wanted to go to Twin Peaks for the games. We ate quick at Hard Rock Café, and continued on to Twin Peaks. Twin Peaks has 3 levels, and ICE COLD drafts, the mugs are so frosty and delicious. House beers are: Knotty Brunette and Dirty Blonde and come in two sizes: girl size, man size. I love the brunette one it’s a nice dark beer. My friends were saying the waitresses were some of the hottest girls they have ever seen.

Twin Peaks was packed full of football fans, and the atmosphere was great with lots of yelling and shouting reacting to the games. At this point the strawberita kid is falling asleep with his beer in hand, and decides to walk back to Luxor solo. He said it was the longest most grueling walk of his life LOL.

**FAST FORWARD**

Haven’t heard any word from the other couple still, I think I killed them with the bottle service… They finally contact us around 9pm saying they can’t handle Tiesto. I am also thinking I can’t handle Tiesto either, but we went anyways.

I had got table quotes from ***** P from Hakk a few weeks before, but decided against it, but he still was nice enough to contact us throughout the day. He said he could comp entry for 50/50 ratio, but we had tickets anyway, so shoutout to ***** for keeping in touch.

Got to Hakkasan around midnight, waited in line for about 5 minutes before getting in. Our group split up in different spots onto the dance floor for the end of Danny Avilia, and the beginning of Tiesto. The place was SLAMMED, im talking you couldn’t move, dance, lift your arms, anything. After about 10 blasts of confetti, it was getting hot so we decide to get off the dance floor. This is the part I don’t like about Hakkasan.. it looks huge but its really all alley-ways and random areas with no views. We chilled by the “waterfall” for a while before I decided to head back to the hotel with my girlfriend. The rest of the group stayed until the end.

I have two hours to sleep before we leave for the airport. I get woken up by a knock on the door and its my friend saying “yoooo you forgot your sunscreen!!!!” thanks. Really needed that. As usual at this point I want to GTFO of Vegas. They were offering $400 to give up our flight tickets ….oooh so tempting but I didn’t bite. The other couple that died on Saturday got kicked off their flight and had to stay another day (woof).

Post-Trip Injury Report: Turns out one of my friends who couldn’t talk because his throat hurt so bad had a tonsil abcess which had to be drained by a needle (!!!!) He thought it was too many cigarettes. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow because my left ear popped on the plane and hasn’t popped back to normal. The couple who died after Saturday are still dead (but loved it.)

lol great TR, and feel your pain on the cabs after EBC. We were EBC same day as you guys, and were stuck at Encore for 90 minutes. No taxis, no limos, line not moving and a shit ton of people. Worst I've ever seen it.

update on the injury report: friend who had the tonsillary abcess rallied and is now in Amsterdam getting crazy ... the doctor told me that my eardrum was temporarily damaged (it was all red) and it should get back to normal within 1-2 weeks....still can't hear

lol nah we tried to make it out but by the time we were ready to book prices shot up! In hindsight maybe should've booked anyways as I ended up breaking a mirrored wall while partying and was on the hook for $1500 repair!
