OK quick TR for my midweek trip last week now im over the jetlag!
Cast is me and a friend from back in London.
Monday
Touch down in McCarran about 7pm - few fuck ups with the bags but we arrive at Encore at a decent time, ready to go out to XS. Tonight they were running a Monday nightswim with Major Lazer. Im unfazed by DJ's now - I couldnt care less, im all about the crowd and venue but it was fairly decent from what I remember. Got in on a Moet/Goose deal through Bobby who placed us on a table by the stage. Nice spot - away from the pool, but I wasnt in swimwear anyway so it suited.
Good place actually to pick people up walking out of the inside area of XS on the way out. Met a lot of people coming past, so good traffic there. Got talking to various groups, lots of girls in the place that night. Ended up talking to a couple and their friends. Got talking to a bi-sexual girl who claimed she would have a threesome. Obviously heard this before so thought no more of it. Told her to find a slim brunette. 10 minutes later she's back with a friend of hers and her boyfriend. I think fuck it and we all leave and go back to my room. Long and short of it is I was with the two girls while the other dude basically watched, got pissed and left, leaving me with the girlfriend and her buddy. Wild night
Tuesday
Woke up about 1pm and hit the Encore European pool. Great spot in my opinion, as most of you will know, this is the outside part of XS. Always seems to be lively crowd and a good option for people who are in midweek or are too late for pool parties.
Had option between Hyde and Omnia this night. Omnia were quoting absurd minimums meaning it was just prohibitive for two guys so we went with two bottles at Hyde for 600. Had a dancefloor table and it was cool. Not a huge crowd, you can clearly see that Omnia runs Tuesdays now, but it was busy enough and some nice people. Ended up with our table and 4 girls from the group from the night before and my buddy who works at Light. Couple of Norwegian girls came to join later on. I repeated with the bi-sexual girl from the night before for a one-on-one.
Wednesday
Rinse and repeat for day options. Encore Euro pool, Wynn buffet.
Wednesday night we decided on Light over Surrender. Bad decision in hindsight. Both were running Buy one get one free deals, but Light was a bad crowd. Pretty sparse. We ended up getting wildly drunk and we bussed in the Norwegian girls from the previous night so it turned out good, but I wouldnt return on a Wednesday I dont think. Ended up going home with the Norwegian blond girl.
Thursday
Basically slept hangover off all day long, ate and got ready to go to Intrigue
So Intrigue is a nice setup. Its identical in layout to Tryst, except a couple of meaningless Gelato and Cotton Candy stalls by the waterfall. Outside is exactly the same. Inside has been remodelled and is very similar to XS, just smaller. All ill say is you NEED a main room table here. The patio now blows and what used to be a good table at 220 by the main room is now really no good at all. Its not cheap either so im not sure what I can say about Intrigue. It needs bottle specials to make it worthwhile.
Friday I jetted out to Cali.
Good fun trip, overall though you do miss the weekends in a big way. You need those pool parties to add the wild side.
