Fantastic read, thanks for sharing. Looks like a great trip.
Welcome to the forums, and I might see you in LV in September depending on your datesEastCoast: "I will preach. Vegas is easy. So easy. Either be rich or good looking (or mooch off someone who is one of those). If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."

Gotcha! I had heard some fire bets pay according to how many points you hit 4 different points pay 25:1, 5 different points pay 250:1, and 6 points pay 1000:1Originally posted by cre487It's when the same shooter hits all points (4,5,6,8,9,10). Pit boss said it hadn't been hit in over a month.Originally posted by Jhaulotte View PostHow many points were hit on the fire bet?Las Vegas is sort of like how God would do it if he had money. ~Steve Wynn

If you want to read it yourself go on the IRS website and look for the instructions for w2g, but basically they automatically withhold 25% (28% if you don't have or don't provide Ssn) if the payout is $1200 or more on slots, $5000 or more for poker tournament or more than 300 times the wager in other games. So 1000:1 obviously fits that, it's to keep people from not reporting it, and/or not paying estimated taxes. im sure they took your info and you should get a w2g for use when filing taxes.
So no it wouldn't have mattered if you pushed it, they are required by law to withhold it. Some states also have similar mandatory withholding, but Nevada with no income tax, obviously does not.Last edited by Heater913; 04-08-2013, 10:17 AM.
