  • I am brand new to JC, so here is my TR - Oct 2012

Unfortunately I have only recently discovered this website. I guess you could call this my attempt to introduce myself to the forum.

I would definitely not call myself a newbie to Vegas. I’ve been coming at least 3-4 times a year for maybe the past 3 years or so. Despite being in my mid 20s now, I really only started partaking in the Vegas club scene the last few times I’ve visited Vegas (mainly gambled in previous trips). As such, I have developed my own little small list of contacts and hosts (some of which match up to a JC recommended host) to get tables from. That didn’t come without numerous speed bumps along the way though (bait and switch @ XS for Calvin Harris, bait & switch at Bank, etc.). I could have avoided all those troubles had I just found this website a few years ago. Regardless, between going out often in my Texas city and recently more in Vegas, I definitely am the “go to guy” amongst people I know regarding Vegas clubs.

I am currently in the middle of the longest break I have ever taken from visiting Vegas. I guess it makes sense since I was blessed with a baby boy in December. Sweating in anticipation, I have gone ahead booked for mid May and early September this summer. Hence, I figured it would be a good opportunity to reflect and share my previous trip to Vegas, which unfortunately, was all the way back in Oct 2012.

While I do get some comps for rooms and such from Caesars, I am definitely not the gambling whale that gets any reimbursement for travel expenses. You can find me booking the cheapest weekend flights to Vegas. Gotta love Spirit Airlines (not really, but its cheap!)!! After discussing with my “Vegas Crew” (group of 2 close buddies I party with often at home), we booked our offers from Caesars for the first weekend in October. We booked our favorite flight to Vegas too...Spirit Airlines leaving DFW at 11 pm and arriving in Vegas at midnight. I also invited a couple of cousins (cousin #1 and cousin #2) from other cities to meet us in Vegas for what was looking to be the typical weekend of gambling, poppin bottles, and debauchery. We were stoked!

We leave home Thursday night and arrive in Vegas right on time…Caesars limo straight to the entrance of the Octavius Tower @ Caesars. Me and another buddy in Vegas Crew are fortunate to get comps at Caesars. For this trip I was able to book two comped rooms for the weekend in the Octavius tower. My buddy had one room comped for the weekend. Upon arriving, I was able to get my comp offer for two rooms turned into an awesome 2 br suite. We also tipped to make sure my buddy’s room was across the hall from the suite. The suite, of course, would turn into the “home base” for everyone on the trip (me, 2 guys in Vegas Crew, & 2 Cousins). With the huge living room area and ample couches and open space in the suite, I could already tell this suite was going to be a mad house (especially after the club).

First things first though…needed to call the green man. He arrived in a matter of minutes and within a few more minutes the room is filled with smoke in the air...the good kind. (I will try to make this the only mention of this in my TR. But you can go ahead and safely assume that smoke is pretty much in the air anytime we are in the room and/or limo lol.) We kicked it in the room for a little, then decided to hit the craps tables. No table reservations at any clubs for this night. We wanted our first night to be spent hitting the craps tables. Figured if we went up big, we could hit Drai’s up for some crazy fun afterwards. Of course, luck wasn’t on our side this night. After getting beat up at the craps table at Caesars for a few hours we head over to Bellagio where the beating continued. After being down a dollar amount, which I will not divulge, we decided to call it a night…Nothing better than eating room service chicken parmesan at 6 am. In all honesty though, the room service food at Caesars is pretty good.

Wake up late the next day and hit up Mesa for a bad ass brunch. Today I was able to make some of my money back on the craps tables there at Caesars. I was close to making back what I had lost the night before. Tonight, we were definitely doing bottle service somewhere. As I stated previously, I just discovered this forum…so no advance reservations were made as is recommended on this site. Frankly, in all my previous times to Vegas, I have never booked a table any earlier than the evening of the night I was going out. Anyways, after hitting up hosts, etc. We decide on Haze. We are not crazy EDM fans, so an open format (maybe leaning heavy on rap) is always a preference for us. We had the first table when you walk in. The host referred to it as one of the Owner’s tables. It overlooked the dance floor. We end up partying our asses off for the remainder of the night. Next thing I know, we have a group of 6 girls from Chicago, a group of 4 local girls, and a bachelorette party from Mexico City all getting down at our table. It was awesome. Paul Wall (rapper from Houston, for those who don’t know) was in the building that night. He was at a table against the back wall directly behind us. He is definitely “early 2000s”, but regardless, it was cool to say whats up to him because he was a big deal in Texas when he was in his prime. Throughout the whole night the mantra for the group was “AFTER PARTY at the suite”. I swear that was probably one of the most used lines my buddies kept dropping around the ladies that weekend... “are you coming to the after party in our suite?”…lol. Anyways, we’ve got a good crew at the table now and there was no way we were going to stop the party after Haze closes down. We head to the limo area outside Aria. At that point it was me, Vegas Crew, 2 cousins, and approx. 10 girls (No BS!!) I tell the guy who calls the limos that we are headed to Caesars. He immediately tells me that we are going to need something a little bigger than a normal limo. Next thing we know, the biggest and baddest party bus pulls up to the limo area. I tip the guy and we all pile in. I am able to convince the driver to take the “long way back”. We pretty much created our own little club on that party bus. We had girls trying to show their stuff on the stripper pole (yes the party bus had a stripper pole) and other girls giving little lapdances to the guys. Despite my doubts at that time, we found later that none of the girls were “working” girls. Much to our relief as we were all expecting the “I lost my rent money” stories to start being told by these girls. They were all just having a good time…good to know! We stop at the liquor store behind Bill’s and stock up for the after party in the room. Once back to Caesars, total.complete.debauchery ensues. As posting this TR may come back to bite me in the butt in the future, I cannot delve into those details. As a matter of fact, I just decided that anytime there is a moment in this TR which may have details not suitable for minors I will put a {!!FUN!!} to protect the innocent and those not so innocent. So…{!!FUN!!} Be assured it was crazy and every guy in the group was kicking someone if not more than one out of bed the next morning! By morning of course I mean next afternoon as we didn’t get to sleep til about 10 am the next day.
